It's a trim router, so if you are familiar with them, well, this is one. It's a good one. Plenty of power, stable in the hand, and decent base. What's wrong with it: Well, the base isn't the best ever. Cheap plastic, doesn't like adjustment, but if you take the time to set it up right, it works great. Just don't assume you can "dial it in with the knob" because it's not quite that good. The included and assorted bits are fine if that's what you want. I'd recommend using a "real" set of bits so you can make more profile cuts as you need. For me that includes a 90 degree corner with a bearing on top. Your mileage may vary.Key takeaway: this is a GREAT handheld trim router. Don't let the price fool you.E in Tucson, Arizona, US March 2024

This is a good value. Not the best router out there but for the price a good tool fir occasional use. A good selection of bits too.

I tightened the heck out of the chuck to keep the bits that came with it in place, but they kept slipping each use resulting in it ruining the wood because the router would get dragged away from the guide. The bits are also not true, and the lack of speed control (default is 30'000 RPM!!) makes this router not worth the cheaper price point of $40 USD. The plastic base is cheap, squeaks against wood, and doesn't align with the engraved depth heights on the aluminum body at all. Better to go with the Makita and a Whiteside router bit to invest in the cleaner, safer routes.

Couldn't find my full size router (lost somewhere in my shop) so I purchased this for a small project I was doing for our church (edging some shelves). I did ok, but was a pain in the ass to use. I would do the job, but required about 3 times the time and effort to do a good job. I would NOT recommend for someone not use to using a router as it could be dangerous.

Have used this tool for my cabinet. It is handy and performs well. It is very efficient, I just hold it vertically to the surface and go back and forward couple times, The edge comes out smooth.
