These File Handles improve the control and balance of the file over old-style wood handles. This five-piece set fits all files with tapered, rectangular tangs. Each handle measure 4-3/8-Inch long.

Ordered without knowing if they would really work, but needed something and the price is right. I installed two files by hammering them on to the handles and are rock-solid. Very comfortable in the hand and so far do not see them working loose. Great product.

These are decent handles. Though the purist in me wants to think that wood handles are "better" these work pretty good. Great price so I can't complain. Besides I got to put handles on five of my files so my work is much more comfortable now.

The size of the package that these handles come in doesn't mean anything. I would have liked to know what size the individual parts are in the package. They don't even suggest the size file that these fit. Obviously, they are for 10" or 12" files. They look like they would be comfortable, but can't give any durability rating as I haven't used the handles because they don't fit the files that I needed handles for. Hence the moderate rating. I have a lot of big file handles already and need 6 and 8" file handles and can not use them. It is not worth the trouble to return them, I took a chance for the price. It appears that buying handles from someone other than Crescent/Nicholson is a waste of time.

Got tired of making my own file handles, these work well, the plastic/rubber is comfortable in the hands and they appear to be well made

All the handles are what you would expect them to be. They are made from medium grade plastic with an exterior rubber non-slip grip. I used them with some old files I have and none of them have released after several uses. A good buy.

I've put them on smaller and bigger files. Of course the tang of bigger file is not going deep as the one from smaller , but I don't feel any wiggle with it! I think they are very good but I do use them only occasionally. When I did they didn't move! One more thing, they are excellent for my ( normal size) hands, for bear hands ( like some of my friends have) they MAY be a bit small.

Worked well on my Nicholson files. I heated the tang to make them go on easier.

Looked all over town - Big-Box/hardware stores... Nothing. Amazon? Why not? Boom - perfect hit. No (COVID) hassle, prompt delivery. There we go. Once I organize my tool chests, I'm gonna order more.
