I bought these to do a single small project. The quality is poor and I wasn't even expecting miracles. Doesn't hold an edge. But, they did what I needed to get done.

This is a good set of smaller lathe chisels for the price you would expect.They are well packaged. The case is adequate but as you can see from image #2, the case isn't special. But adequate is enough for lathe chisels.The set comes with 5 common chisels and will accomplish almost all of what you need to do. They are well balanced, although they are very light.As the product info says, sharpen before use. While these chisels do have an edge, it is a rougher edge, and a simple sharpening is worth it.4341 steel is common high-speed steel. There is no "top tier" as the description claims. Steel is categorized by its properties and has to fall within the parameters of that category. But that isn't an issue as 4341 is a common cutting steel.There isn't a whole lot to critique. These are common smaller chisels made of common steel and retail at an expected price. They are exactly as expected.

They work for a short while before going dull. You get what you pay for. Can’t say I expected much less.
