It's nice to connect the lock to Wi-Fi and have the ability to use the features of the Yale Lock remotely. Installation & setup are simple.

I bought a bunch of Yale touchpad locks for my house. Most worked perfectly but 2 I couldn't get to work with the wifi.Turns out I bought the wrong locks. I thought I'd have to uninstall, send back, reorder the right ones, install again ... but this module, though a little extra $, was much easier to order. I just took out the wrong module and popped these in and voila! It was worth the extra cost.

This product is a must-have in order to access your Yale door from anywhere else other than your home. Once installed nothing else is needed, it is that easy! It's a little pricey but I want access wherever I am that comes at a cost. The YALE auto door locking system itself is great, don't forget this peace though!

Simple install. Great addition to my Yale Smart Lock, really increases control.Would be nice if the unit would be able to take Lithium batteries to increase the time between battery changes.

The hub never worked for me (they kept replacing them when I complained. Went through 4 of them. None of them worked—it was constantly losing connection with the lock and lost the internet signal regularly as well. This module is vastly better. Works like a charm. No more hub. It even improves (but does not wholly solve) the auto-unlock feature's flakiness. Now, auto-unlock works maybe 60% of the time instead of 5% of the time. Makes the lock usable.

We are opening a small like boutique hotel, where we have installed Yale locks in each one of our units. Locks were working fine up until I purchased these devices so that I can operate them wirelessly through the app. As soon as I installed the Wi-Fi smart module everything connected very easily. I was very happy until I got my first notification that the batteries were drained. I figured the batteries it came with were low, so I went ahead and replace them with new Duracell batteries. Three days later I get notification again batteries have 20%, and four days later again, three days later again. I’ve been replacing the batteries every 3 to 4 days. It is impossible to operate a business. I have contacted Yale and they are not able to help. They blame it on the Wi-Fi. The devices are connecting instantly, WiFi reading is very good. We have commercial network with a dedicated wifi network for locks only. Plus we have a IT team monitoring this. I purchased a total of 13 that is a lot of money and it’s non-refundable?I have to go and spend more money on the older August connect bridge modules that we have used in the past as they seem to work much better. Only problem Is they need to be plugged in so that’s a bit of a hassle but beats the battery replacement cost.This is supposed to be the newest thing from Yale and it’s horrible. There’s are few more reviews here from people running Airbnb commenting on the same problems. So please do not buy these for commercial use. They will not work.

Put this in my Yale Assure 2 and added it to the account and now it is on line and can be remotely controlled like the other two locks. No issues. and the Yale app makes it easy.NOTE: you have to check the range, it is sensitive to lower db's on the network. I did have to put in an extender, but our shop is long and skinny.

So far this direct to WiFi module is working better than the August to Bluetooth to WiFi version. The August version worked fine for a while but would not hold a connection and rarely would EVER connect. This direct to WiFi Yale unit has yet to drop its connection. All functions remain the same as before on my Yale lock and didn’t have to create a new account. So far I’m happy. I’ll definitely update this review if things change.

We have four first-generation Assure locks, and have tried a variety of smart modules with them including Z-Wave, Homekit, the August Connect kit, and these. These are easily the most reliable of the group; they never drop from the network, and have worked flawlessly for us. Reasonably simple setup (just don't forget to factory reset your lock before you install), the August Home Assistant integration works well. Only downside is they go through batteries considerably faster (understandably), and need a 2.4Ghz network (which is fine, and reduces power consumption as well). Super happy with them, and a little sad they weren't available from the get go.

Bastante fácil de instalar, pero conectarse a Wifi fue un problema. El mensaje seguÃa diciendo que iussuer estaba de mi parte, pero ese no era el caso. Las opciones de Ayuda no son de ninguna ayuda (le envÃan la espiral descendente habitual de dónde quieren que vaya en lugar de la información que realmente necesito. Parece estar funcionando bien, aunque creo que me estoy perdiendo algunos de los beneficios que pueden ser útil.

I was able to set this up on my YRD216 & so far its working as intended. After set up it did not erase any of my preexisting codes including the master code. I like how convenient this makes my life.I needed some help with installing the Door sense that needed a screw head of a specific size to fit in a specific place on the door frame. I used YouTube to help with installation of doorsense because this neither comes with any instructions and the website is very unhelpful too. But once you set it up you can forget about it and enjoy the convenience.
