It's a great tool for edging. Works just as shown in the videos. BUT, without a weed-wacker, I still need to get down on my knees to trim. I would imagine that if you had a weed-wacker, too, it'd make the job easier. It's all one piece and very sturdy. I would recommend it!

I really like this edger for going around my gardens and sidewalks. It makes nice deep cuts in the ground. Much easier to use than a shovel or hand trowel. Very sturdy product and worth the money.

I like this tool very much, but I wish it was sharper, or maybe the cutting edge was longer so it would go deeper into the ground, because if the grass is really thick or very dry it’s not easy to penetrate the ground, even ask my 6’4†brother to try it he weights and 240, and he said that there was some dense areas that he couldn’t get it to cut through either. So I recommend using this tool after a heavy rain fall or after the sprinklers have run.Over all I like it, because it’s very easy to use,it’s sturdy, and it’s good value for your money, yes would recommend this tool.

I want to give it more stars because it is effective and easy to use, but it broke. The joint between the main shaft and the bottom is welded nicely, but if you wrench on it during use it'll stress the joint and break. No worries though, I can fix it in my shop. I plan to reinforce that joint with angle iron.

Very sturdy. I used it to prep around my landscaping for the installation of the bordermaster poundable edging I bought. Worked like a charm. Rather than watching the poundable edging bend while I tried to pound it into the tough clay ground, all I had to do was stomp this in and wiggle it a bit, and the edging practically fell into the trench it made. Best $30 I ever spent. Great heavy gauge steel construction. Seems like it will last a good long time. Highly recommend for installing edging. Not so much for routine lawn care edging though...I think a power edger would make life much easier. Using this to edge a sidewalk and driveway seems like about as much fun as using a hand propelled rotary lawn mower. No thanks, give me a power edger and a beer.

We had a fiber optical cable replaced due to some problem somewhere up the line. We waited for several weeks for the company to bury the cable, but we got tired of waiting because the cable was beside a walk-way so that it could get damaged by a pedestrian. I bought this edger, and used it to cut a narrow slit in my yard so that I could bury it. The hard clay had been rained on for several days the previous month, so the pushing down on the edger was easy even with regular shoes. Took us just 2 hours per day, in 2 days time to do the 100 ft. distance. My wife and I are in our 80 and we did the job in good time. Excellent product.

This tool was absolutely worthless. Looking at it when it arrived, I wondered how it could possibly work but went ahead and gave it a try. The "blade" (the whole half moon part) is very thick. It is beveled but the beveled edge is still thick and not remotely sharp.I had perfect conditions: lots of rain ahead of my work day. This tool did absolutely nothing. It did not cut through grass, dirt, or sod. I was trying to cut back overgrown grass along my front sidewalk.I then tried my regular garden spade which worked fine and allowed me to stand on the top of the blade for leverage. I also tried my straight edge shovel which is harder to stand on but it still did the job. Using a shovel does not produce a perfect edge but at least it does produce an edge!I bought the sharpener that one reviewer mentioned but this thing is so thick I doubted my ability to properly sharpen it and I did not want to ruin my chances for return. The half moon part has some kind of finish which a sharpener would grate off.It was a major pain to return this thing. The huge oversized box it arrived in was not in reusable condition. I actually had to go out and buy a box and then cut it down to an appropriate size. I hope I have cured myself of buying oversized items from amazon. Unfortunately some things just aren't available locally.Honestly I think the only people who find this usable are just tidying up edges along garden borders with very loose soil.

I was originally going to be a flat shovel to edge out our flower garden, separating it from the grass until I noticed this tool. I'm glad I purchased it. I completed edging for two sides of our sidewalk within minutes!!! So easy to use, especially after a rain when the ground is easy to dig into. This tool is fantastic. Very easy keeping a straight line. I no longer dread doing the edging thanks to this tool!

Great! Good price. Does the job really well, I have tried all kinds of edgers over the past FORTY YEARS and a dozen lawns in various houses. I find this to be a really easy simple and effective solution to establish the lawn edge. Now, it will not nicely trim the grasses and I would not use this weekly, more like once or twice a year to really get down to those roots. I use a scythe to trim the blades that defy the boundary, or a snipper. This edger, the trick is to keep your foot on it and step, lift - not entirely off the ground, stay in the groove - then step. Walking along like a one-legged mule. Advancing and rolling it, a little. A rocking motion. If you lift it clear of the groove each time you are in for a world of tedium trying to get it back in line. I think it also would not be so good on tight curves.

Very solid tool, much better then the tools that you need to jump on both sides to cut. A bit pricey is the only problem.
