I don’t know why I didn’t buy this yarn baller before now because it’s a game changer for me. I’ve been balling my yarn like my grandmother taught me, by hand with a paper towel holder, all my life but now that I’m dealing with arthritis it’s too hard on my hands. This yarn baller is easy to use and it’s fast. Once I figured out how to keep the tension even with my left hand while I turn the crank with my right hand there’s been no problems making beautiful and functional yarn cakes. I highly recommend it.

Bought this to replace a pricier one I had that broke. I am very pleased with the wind off I get. Nice and sturdy clamp that holds it steady as well.

Works great! If I could change anything it would be that the clamp open wider. I attached mine to a large cutting board because it wouldn't fit anywhere else. Excellent value for the money.

This is a review for Yarn Ball Winder, Weaving Ball Winder Needle Craft Yarn Ball Winder, The Helper for Knitting Enthusiast, Sturdy with Metal Handle and Tabletop Clamp, with 4 Size Pom Pom Makers+1PS ScissorsPrior to using this yarn ball winder, my only other experience with such contraptions was a few years ago when I borrowed my mom’s ball winder that she bought from an online store that caters to knitting/crochet enthusiasts…so I’m no expert on yarn ball winders, but I have used one before.After a bit of trial and error, this ball winder did the trick and made a nice cake of yarn. My first attempt just running the yarn through the metal guide gave me a cake that was really loose (almost to the point where the cake didn’t want to stay together once I took it off the ball winder). On my second attempt, I manually tensioned the yarn by letting it run through my hand and then through the metal guide. That worked out better. The ball winder was a bit noisier than I remembered my mom’s being (like the gears inside were a bit rough or something), but it did the job. I’m excited about the inclusion of the pom pom makers. There were no instructions for how to use them, but I looked up some youtube videos of a popular name brand pom pom maker and these look like the same design, so I think I know what to do now. The snips that came were sharp and cut well. All in all, not a bad little set.

L'ho regalato ad una mia amica appassionata di uncinetto e lo ha totalmente amato!! È impazzita ed ha subito iniziato a fare "tortine" organizzando e sistemando tutto il suo filato. È comodo, bello, economico e funzionale. Poi anche gli accessori per fare i pon pon sono molto carini, una bella aggiunta.

After a couple of hiccups (user error) I managed to get this winder working wonderfully. It's a game changer, I'm not wrestling with wool anymore, I should have bought one years ago.

Der Garnwickler lässt sich leicht installieren, allerdings gibt es auch nicht viele Bauteile. Er ist sehr leichtgängig und lässt sich viel leichter bedienen als mein alter, der viel teurer war
