Works great for automotive or HVAC applications for when you need 1/4 turns or if you just want to minimize refrigerant loss when disconnecting. Price seems on par with other 1/4 turns but they all seem expensive.

The ball valve will technically create low loss but the part you hookup with is not low loss.
