Good locking. Not really difficult to remove as other reviews have stated, you need to pull up on the release and hold it up as you pull it off the pin. They stand a little taller than the traditional retaining clips(approx. 1mm) but negligible really as they are polished smooth with no rough edges. Personally I can't even feel them when I wear them for work and I wear four of them on my uniform sweater. Good product. Good price.

If you've ever lost one of your favorite pins from your jacket or bag, you know the pain. It makes you not even want to wear your favorite pins, because you don't want to lose them, and while ita bags are a thing they don't work for all environments (for example, I work EMS and I like a cute pin on my uniform!)Enter...locking pin backs. These suckers stay ON! You would have to cut the fabric around the pin to steal it (because pin theft is also sadly a thing). They're a little fiddly (or I am fat fingered, either way) to get off, but honestly I'd rather struggle to get it off because that lets me know that when it's on, it's *on* securely. Every pin fan needs these!

To fix a couple of pins on my coat I was looking for something that would lock them in. I found it!

I use the pin backs on the lanyard that carries my ID for work. These backs don't get tangled on my shirt like the cheap ones do.
