The best bow hold aid I found after trying a few other kinds including the one that comes in two pieces. Well thought out to help with correct placement of the pinky thumb and index finger. Tried it on 1/8 to 4/4 size bows.

My kids (3) first used these when learning violin and after getting new violins to adjust for their growing bodies we didn't need them again as they had muscle memory. I strongly encourage using these to develop the skill.

very sturdy and good to touch rubbery plastic. We look at it carefully and decided we don't want to take apart the bow to put it on, and so we just simply made a cut on the ring under the squirrel tale, so it gets on and off like a breeze, sits well, and doesn't obscure the tightening bolt. My son is almost 6, and it works for him. But I wouldn't recommend it for a smaller child, the squirrel is rather large.

I love the way this bow holder is set up. It instantly corrected one of my students bow holds. It's a great value as well.

I have mixed reviews after purchasing this item. Here are my thoughts.Pros: I think the concept behind it is very good and can be an effective way to teaching bow hands on violin or viola. It's comfortable for a small child to hold the bow and find the proper placement for fingers, especially the pinky. The colors and images are cute, bright, and very friendly, which encourages kids to practice with it.Cons: I think the holder is too tight around the bow making it difficult to put on before/after. If you wanted to leave the holder on the bow, it would never fit inside the instrument case (to big and thus require dissembling after use). I think the holder is also too long, which makes it tricky to twist on/off the screw of the bow, thus nearly impossible to tighten/loosen the horse hairs.Overall, I would say the product is genius and a great violin/viola tool. However, there are many mechanical issues that need to be address and resolved in the manufacturing process. Until it is fixed and improved, I will likely not recommend this product to anyone.

Overall, good purchase! I think bow grips are very expensive and this was the cheapest one I have found that still works! Great teaching tool as well. a little pricey.

This product kind of works for 1/2 or 3/4 size violin players but best fits an adult bow hand. It is NOT appropriate for young children….they cannot shape a proper bow hand with such a huge space between the index finger and pinkie.

Sensational help! I had a pupil who really struggled with bow holding for many months despite all kind of "tips and tricks". THIS squirrel did it, and she holds the bow better and better, still with the squirrel on it - which also helps to remain cheerful:) - practising the violin even becomes more fun!! We are approaching the moment when she can do it without, and I am confident all will be fine.Highly recommended, it comes quickly, good price and easy to fit!

I didn't like that it looks like you can buy 4 holders for the price. Not true. It's one you get.
