This bit has worked well for me in fabricating replacement dutch lap siding for an old building. A vertical profile bit like this can be a bit dicey to run through the router table, so make sure you keep a steady travel of the plank, and that it is held in place with featherboards both behind the bit and after.

Purchased this for the ogee bead profile. Needed it to run 63 MDF panels. The cost of this entire set was as much as a single bit at other locations. I did purchase with the intention of 1 time use, but after receiving and using the bit I needed I can say they will last much longer. I know chinese carbide is much softer then domestic breeds so I am sure frequent sharpening will be needed, but for someone using these here in there outside of a production setting, you cant go wrong. I can also tell you that these are not good for MDF panels, the direction of the cut chips out the face of the panel. Not necessarily a problem for this particular product itself (I dont think) but probably for all vertical bits. Just wish I had thought of that issue before ordering. Luckily I was able to putty and patch those that chipped beyond sander repair. Also, these are probably best suited for 7/8-1" rail and stiles thickness with 3/4" panels. I had to fudge the panel 1/16" proud in 13/16" frame to fit right without protruding out too much to be noticable. . So if you want flush panels in 3/4" frames shop elsewhere.

This is not forgiving of any carelessness or lack of experience! I tried this out as soon as I got it with a few pieces of scrap pine wood. The slightest variations in my router table’s fence caused obvious flaws in the final project. Hopefully I get it down before I become responsible for massive deforestation.

Good bit for the money, thought it might take 4 or 5 passes but got it done in 3. Just as sharp as when I started, had to make 5 raised panel doors and saved money with this bit.

Only used one bit to far. Had to resharpen 3 times over 200 ft of shaping. Decent quality.

Very poor quality. You can actually see the serrations on the edge from the grinding process. Leaves a very poor surface finish. Not that I expected CMT or Whiteside quality at this price, but I really feel these are not worth using at any price. You'll be sanding your life away after using these. I'd return them but I already threw out the box they came in.

Great product! It is exactly what I was looking for. It has a smooth cut and needs very little sanding. Ordering was easy and I received it in a very timely manner. The price was great compared to other places that I have checked. I will be ordering other bits from here.
