I bought this because I broke an Amana Tools bit (my fault) and it was pretty expensive to replace. I had read that others liked this brand and so I gave it a shot. I re-carved the project correcting my mistake that caused the other bit to break, and it turned out great!The bit seems to be nice and sharp and accurate. Only time will tell about how it lasts, but for now I recommend it

Purchased this bit to replace a bit like this one from another company...thinking I would save about $20. My old bit looks like this one, with the coating, probably couldn't tell them apart side by side. My older bit lasted several years carving 3D models in wood on my CNC machine. This bit lasted 10 minutes. When I returned the CNC machine about 10 minutes after I started cutting, smoke was coming from the bit. The wood (cherry) was blackened from the heat of the bit. Now I have to order another bit from the company I had used before. The packaging this bit came in states, "Do not exceed the maximum recommended RPM when using this router bit.", however it doesn't tell you what that is. Why not provide that information on the package?Update 19 April 2018: After contacting the vendor through their webpage to share my experience and ask what the recommended RPM for the bit is, they responded very timely, provided the RPM information quickly sent me a new bit to replace the bit I had. The new bit cut quite well, very pleased with the customer service...I would have no problem recommending this bit to family and friends.
