I enjoyed making this kit, only I thought there were 2 penguins since it was shown on the picture. I was a little bummed out, because I was planning on making 2 for two individuals who love penguins. I wasn't sure if there would have been enough yarn to complete a second. Speaking I wish I knew the yarn that was used in the kit, it was different. Actually I wish all the kits mention what yarn they are using, just in case I want to use again. Anyway great product, highly recommend it.

Though this crochet kit was probably originally designed for the Asian market, it's been perfectly adapted to western needs. All the necessary materials are included and well organized. I ordered it as a gift for a friend who is leanring to crochet and loves penquins. His finished penguin is shown in the photos. So adorable!I asked him for his thoughts on the kit. He said he had no problems at all with the instructions. His only difficulty was counting the stitches, but that this is something every crocheter deals with. The perfect quick project for anyone who loves animals and crochet!

So cute! My wife likes that our granddaughter has learned to crochet little animals now because of this kit and she makes them all the time. It comes with everything you need to finish the bunny. They also offer invaluable digital instruction! So thrilled with this kit.

I have purchased and tried a lot of crochet projects. Woobles are the top of the line but very pricey. Cookie Box is great, affordable but limited projects. This one is a cute design but the videos are fast and hard to follow. The yarn is a cored design and bunches up on itself. It’s also not as slippery as the other brands making it harder to pull through when tighter. The hook is double sided and is absolutely trash. I am doing the kit with a 4mm hook from another set. The included one is labeled 4/0 but I find that way too small to handle the yarn.The written instructions are confusing as well, for instance it’ll say. 1 ch, 6 inc, ss = 12 st. That’s 14 stitches by any methods I’ve seen. So we ignore the first and last? I dunno it’s weird.If you just use the single crochet instructions (ignore chain and slips) then it works like all the other kits.It’s still going to produce a cute toy if you work through it but do not buy this as a first kit. You will be frustrated and probably give up. Try woobles or cookie box instead.

My teenager wanted to learn to crochet, so we got him this. The directions were clear and easy to follow. He knew absolutely nothing before picking this up. The yarn was easy to work with, large, and didn't split. The hook was basic, fairly comfortable and didn't snag or catch on the yarn. The kit came with everything he needed to complete a turtle.
