I recently purchased a beautiful headboard from Amazon. Unfortunately, my platform bed frame did not align with the holes of the headboard. I searched for about 2 months and thankfully, I found this item and a detailed review that confirmed this item would fit on my bed frame.Please note, I have a “Mainstay Queen 14 inch High Profile Foldable Steel Platform Bed Frame†that I purchased from Walmart (sorry for the long title, but it’s important to mention, lol). This item fits perfectly on this bed frame. I’m so happy that my beautiful headboard is no longer relying on the wall for stability.If you have a frame similar to mine, this item will definitely work for you. Very easy set up, very sturdy, tools included, fast shipping (I have Prime) and reasonably priced.

I have bought two Zinus platform bed frames. The last one I purchased was with the intent of replacing not only the old bed, but the frame and head and foot board as well. So I needed to order this set of headboard brackets. Although these aren't perfect for just any headboard, they do fit the Zinus platform bed frames. And because they have quite a few open slots and can be mounted rightside up or upside down, you have some latitude in positioning these on the bedframe. Ideally they mount downward. Attaching along the outer edges of the right and left corner of each end of the frame, where there are two slots to screw the mount in. And this does come with screws to mount to the bed, and for mounting a headboard. If you find that the headboard you want to mount doesn't line up exactly, as was my case. After you attach the mounting brackets, line the headboard against the frame and brackets, take a drill, drill four holes (two on each side) through the headboard, and in minutes you can have the headboard attached. And the only one that will know it will be you. Just make sure you use the washers. It worked great for me. I let the headboard rest on the floor the same level as the platform bed because the headboard is very tall. Giving it additional stability. It doesn't wobble, you can lean back against the headboard if you want to read or sit up in bed. So it fits great, looks great. Well worth the price if you are buying these for a platform bedframe. At least a Zinus platform bedframe.

The brackets, for less than 10 bucks, are pretty sturdy and didn't take much to add onto the ZInus 4" metal platform bed frame. We got it to attach a First Hill headboard (First Hill B-025 Upholstered Tufted Headboard, Full, Ivory).It came with good instructions and a fantastic little tool to attach the brackets. That was the easy part. The hard part: The headboard holes did not line up so we had to either drill holes through the metal legs of the headboard or the brackets (about 2" off the mark). We ended up drilling through the bracket and making our own holes. It took extra time and the use of a drill, but it worked. Universal might not be the right word for these brackets, but in the end they allowed us to attach the headboard and they were pretty inexpensive.

Pros: Reviewing these after a year of use. I just got back to reviewing this as I just had to recently disassemble my Zinus headboard and mattress frame. So easy to install and remove. Those multiple holes you see in the picture is because there's numerous ways you can connect your headboard to the frame just in case you're pairing this with non-Zinus brands. You don't have to worry about the headboard being too low from standing on the floor, this can help mount the board higher if you wanted. I make sure I don't lose the the screws included but they are the generic ones you can easily buy at the hardware store.Cons: None so far

-Very sturdy strong steel.-A great variety of hardware supplied that helps make it useful for many bed frames.-I attached mine to a Zinnus bed frame that I bought on Amazon quite easily.-Fits the most common style of headboards sold on Amazon just right.-A good bracket for attaching your headboard to your bed frame.-Lots of pre drilled holes and slots so it would probably be adaptable to many old wood frames too.-Good value for the price. A worthy purchase.
