If I were a pro mechanic, working with it every day, I might not be too impressed. It's not high tech, high quality. But it did the job on my car and that makes me happy.

This is one of tools where You’re struggling to hold something and tighten a nut at the same time, Thinking to yourself, man it would be nice if they had a tool like this, well, here it is, no more getting in your own way

Socket broke into pieces! Needed to torque a bolt to 48 lb/ft - didn’t even get close before it snapped.Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

This is a nice tool for the price and worked exactly as designed on my struts. Seriously if some one is breaking this they are doing something wrong.

Do not try and use these without compressing the strut springs first! It fit the 18mm nut on our OEM 2009 Chrysler Town and Country strut, and actually reached inside the deeper mounts these vehicles have. The window through the side lets you get a wrench over the hex end and hold the end of the strut rod. I found it was quicker to clamp the polished shaft with a vise grip and remove the nut with an impact gun. I only did this because I wasn't reusing the strut. The new struts we installed were KYB Excel G. They had a 19mm nut, and this kit had the 19mm socket also. The trick with the KYB is they use what is called a Double-D end on the strut rod. Sockets/wrenches for them are hard to find. I ended up holding the strut rod across the flats with a 6mm wrench, but it was not fun. If you're working with KYBs, you should get a Double-D wrench that fits in the window. Otherwise, another larger kit that uses the through sockets would do the job better. I have an older Lisle universal strut nut tool, but it doesn't fit the nut or the Double-D. It is too small for both.If it wasn't for a lack of availability of a Double-D wrench that measures 6mm across the flats, and 10mm across the round portion, it would have got 5 stars. The sockets seemed to work ok but aren't as useful without something to hold the strut rod.

Served its purpose, I only needed it for one job. Torque called for 74 ft-lbs and the socket is already bent...Edit 07/22/24 - Used the tool again and it finally snapped at the base. I wouldn't recommend using this socket if you are going over 50 ft-lb of torque

For the price, it's pretty rugged and does the job perfectly. I don't usually fool around with mount strut nuts so the use of this will likely be a one-time thing but I was happy to find this on amazon, instead of buying a whole kit for absurd amount of money just for a 21mm, good alternative.for those who complain about it being slightly curbed, it shouldn't cause any problems lol

I think the people that complain about these breaking is they're probably trying to undo a top nut that was previously excessively torqued. They work fine to tighten to manufacturer spec but as the title says they lack a 17mm, which seems impossible to find anywhere at a decent price, and that's needed for a Sachs/bmw one in my car. They increased the size of the nut front and rear by 1mm so I needed 4 different sizes of these so this cheap set was cost effective and did the job aside from that one size.
