Built solid. I was trying some custom applications but unfortunately it wouldn't work with what I was trying to do. The pins do keep them in place with no questions on weather it would fail. I felt comfortable when they were attached. Be sure to add some lubrication to the threads and these will last.

Bought these in a bind because at the time these had the quickest delivery and were less costly. Lesson learned cheaper price means cheaper materials and build quality. They were bent out of shape as soon as a little pressure was applied trying to close (contract) the spring.

Only used them once so far so i can’t speak on how durable they are and how long they’ll last BUT, they absolutely work and make the job much safer and quicker. I was putting upgraded cargo springs onto new struts and these handled it with no problems, I used to do this with ratchet straps and as you can imagine it gets sketchy, after the first two minutes I felt incredibly safe with this product. Hopefully they last and I never have to live through the metal snapping 😂

I did my own front struts this year. The spring were in good shape so i just replace the shocks instead. These are of good build quality and worked like a charm. I save about 300 by not buying struts

1. Not made with steel I would want to use the gun on.2. Bends when tightened. The bottom shaft on the pic is loose, so straighter. The top one is right. Both were bending as much when tight. Does come back to original shape when loose. I don't know how many times that will happen before it's permanently bent.3. The blocks are forged, so, happy about that.4. I'll grind the safety pins later on one side. Too small to engage through the spring. I think OEMtools is the same, I used it before.5. There is an inner 1/2" square on the bolt ends. It's convenient to use it, because the blocks are a little small, no room to put a socket on the bolt ends in all positions. The square is a bit too small. It wouldn't take a Stanley extension, or the wrachet. But luckily my cheap princess auto wobble bar fit the hole ok.6. Did I mention I didn't want to risk wrecking it on a first go by gunning it? Took more elbow grease than it deserves.7. Case is nice. For the price, and the number of times (less than 10) I expect to ever use it, it's ok. Maybe I should have paid the extra $30 for the OEMtools, so I could gun it and not worry about it being so bent. Oh well, a choice for the next lifetime now.
