I work with CNC hass machines we just switched to this new coolant that runs on 3% where the old coolant ran on 7% and we still have 5 mach. running on the old coolant so I was able to check both. at first I thought it was bad because the reading was so faded I couldn't see the reading but after I put a few drops of water and adjusted it to zero. I tried it again and it read perfect and could see my reading perfect. definitely worth the money. great price . just have to calibrate it with the water u mix your concentrated oil with

I bought this to check the coolant concentration in my machines,I should have chosen one with a higher limit. This scale only goes to 10 and the ideal coolant range for my application is 7.5, 20 or even 50 would be better, this was my oversight and no fault of the seller. This unit is easy to read and straight forward to calibrate. The cost was reasonable and the delivery time was fast. I haven’t had the unit for a long enough time to speak to the reliability over time but being that there are no moving or electronic components I am not concerned.

I bought this to measure the brix of maple sap. This takes a very accurate measuring tool. This worked but it is very difficult to read the exact numbers. The lines in the view are very close together and hard to decipher. If you need a cheap, versatile tool where it doesn't need to be exact. This should work. The price is good.

This particular model is a little tough to see, but I am older and do not have very good eyes, so I may be the issue with that, it works perfectly and I will keep it, it has a very nice case and screw driver to adjust it with, very nice unit overall.

Smaller scale is ideal for measuring with kombucha. Beer ones have to high a range so hard to accurately read finer resolution.

I had no idea how diluted my coolant to water mix was until I got this little thing. I was at less than 3% coolant, now I'm up to 8-9%, which is where I need to be. So yeah - love this little guy - love the little case it comes in - love having my coolant where it needs to be. Love it. Thanks. BOOM.

I'm taking a machining class at the local community college where they have expensive Haas tools including a $100+ refractometer. This one works exactly the same as the one at the college. I'm glad I bought it. I've confirmed that my coolant is not too diluted to keep using until the new coolant arrives.

Wenn man eine spezielle Skalierung sucht, so muss man ein wenig tiefer in die Taschen langen. In diesem Fall lohnt es sich. Das Gerät ist gut verarbeitet und präzise. Nur mit dieser beigelegten LED-Lampe für den USB-Port kann ich nicht viel anfangen. Ist wohl für den Fall gedacht, dass kein anderes Licht für die Messung zur Verfügung steht. Muss also nicht wirklich dabei sein. Ansonsten alles top.
