1" Automatic Stock Tank Float Valve
This valve for water tank is designed to be compact, without a float ball or lever arm, so it has a strong versatility, and can be used in small spaces.

Bought 3 of these, first had to go to lowes to but fittings so I could attach to garden hose, that didn't bother me. Once I had it all configured and turned on the water, it blew apart. Tried a 2nd one, turned down pressure and it happened again.Maybe this product would work for certain very low pressure applications, but forget about it as a stock tank float.

I ordered this float-valve to maintain the water level in my fish pond. I have a Koi fish pond that occasionally requires additional water to maintain a healthy level. The water level drops each week from evaporation and consumption by the plants that float on my pond. I had a different setup that used a float valve that required significant water pressure to function correctly. I recently installed a rain-collection system that fills a 55 gallon barrel. The rain barrel didn't provide sufficient water pressure to activate my old float, so I needed to find an alternative solution. This particular valve works with my new rain barrel collection system. It doesn't require much water pressure to function correctly (it can operate with only 5 PSI or less). My original float requires about 30-40 PSI to function properly.This particular float is a little larger that I expected, but I utilized a reducer connection to attach it to my rain-collection water barrel. The 1 inch size is probably more suitable for agricultural applications, like filling animal water troughs.If you need a way to automatically maintain a particular water-level for a variety of pond and agricultural applications, you should give this a try. It can provide peace-of-mind when you are away for an extended time.

Love that it was easy to install and set up works great. Better than the old one I had before that was on the side so works great for what we need for our cows.
