My sourdough starter has LOVED this nice little warming mat. Before I got this I tried the oven with light on, hot towels inside an insulated cooler, warm blankets and more. I sort of push the sides up next to the sourdough container and it grows overnight like crazy. Inside house temp is set at 67-68 so not warm enough for these little guys to multiply but this mat is a cozy blanket for them at the perfect temperature. Love it!!

Looks good and if it works like it should it will make me happy. I have an old drafty house and I needed more warmth for sprouting. Hoping this mat fills the bill.

To be fair, I had to revise my initial review since it did start getting warmer after continued use, especially if you wrap around the jar to warm it, which was my intended usage. I will not get to my desired temp of 85 degrees. But my biggest complaint now is that it is really too stiff to wrap well. It needs a better quality plastic wrap to conform to the jar. As a flat pad, it is still just mediocre, so now up to 3 stars.Not really a heating pad. It would top out at about 78 degrees. After checking with my watt meter, it only pulls 9 watts. Not nearly enough to get to the 90-100 degrees stated in the description.
