Love this DVR for my security cameras. And setting it up, I called customer service. They were extremely helpful pleasant to work with and for someone who doesn’t know much about computers. They walked me through it and it was so easy thank you. Highly recommended.

Not 1 star, No Stars.Item shipped, plugged in, cameras worked on new unit with no problem. It even started recording. But...This DVR is a phishing scam, a way for YOU to pay $100 to have your computer hijacked. Want to know more?Admin password of 123456 included with instructions did not allow me to access admin page. Invalid Password came up. I called Customer Support, and the first thing they said was, "We need to access your computers desktop. Please follow these instructions to access your computer." I explained I didn't need help with anything like that, I just needed a reset password to access the basic functions of record/play/view. Again, CS said they needed access to my computer, even after understanding that the device is not connected to anything. They gave in and said that if I clicked on Forgot Password, I could see my units Serial Number (this number is different from the one on the decal on the bottom of this generic unit). I gave it to him, and he said, "Well, our computer for recovering passwords just went down. But if I could access your desktop computer..." I hung up. I've spent 2 hrs trying to figure out how to bypass the Admind Password, reset the unit, view raw data...nothing works. Don't waste your time. You will just pay $100 for the right to have a scammer try to break into your computer.Amazon would not return the item, would not help, and the item remains for sale. DO NOT BUY!

Setup was simple. The unit stopped recording after a week, but their customer service department went ABOVE AND Beyond - the communication was quick and once we came to the conclusion a replacement unit was needed - they shipped it out PROMPTLY and the new one is working great!HIGHLY RECOMMMEND ANY product from this seller!!!

It isn't a bad set up but just not right for what we need so I had to return it and I had no problems with returning it everything went smoothly
