This dvr is one of the best I use, it offer good quality, the interfaces easy to used and also offer a lot of tweaks to get the best put of your cameras. It also load images very quickly with out any buffering due to it essd storage.

So, the unit works amazing. Mine is running 7 cameras. You can create zones for motion detection, and customize sensitivity, time of time day, how to alert (email, push notification, beep, etc). Playback is easy and honestly it just works really well. However, I spent a whole afternoon and evening watching youtube videos, trying different options, resetting whole unit, etc. before I finally figured it out. This unit is internet capeable, nut it has to be connected with a hard line from your router. After it is online, then you can configure more / easier through the online software, than direct. Even still, you will want to download the phone app "AnkeVision" and then you get access to your cameras from anywhere. Again, unit is great, everything they said in the add is accurate, but it is complicated, and not intuitive for install. I will admit, I am not super experienced with security systems, but I am a 20+ year aircraft mechanic that is super good at following complex instructions.....lol. Good luck.

Replacing and older DVR and this one was basically plug and play. Set up was very easy and we've had it up and running now for about a month with no issues. My only real gripe with the unit is that it doesn't play nicely with modern web browsers. Couldn't bring myself to ding them a star for that though since I already knew going in and it seems to be the norm for DVR units. The android app works very well so not a huge loss not being able to view the footage through a PC. Its small and quiet which are nice bonuses.

Do not buy.About a month into ownership, I noticed the recordings often disappear (requiring a reboot and losing settings) and when they don't disappear, I can only view 2 of the cameras' recordings at a time. I notified Annke customer service and for 2 weeks they have slow-rolled several "reboot, restart, check settings, confirm scheduling" and the like, all to no avail. They take at least a day to respond. But it doesn't matter anyhow as they offer zero solutions outside the obvious listed above. Customer service is nonexistent.They just requested my user name and pw for the app, which I'm not even using, in order to look into the DVR further. I got it less than 2 months ago. Notified Annke of the issues about 2 weeks ago. I just replied requesting they replace it with a working unit. We shall see how they respond in a day or 2. Let this be a warning to others, do not buy because when it stops working you will get no help, but lots of meaningless tasks.Btw, the reason I do not use the app is because when the recordings disappear, the DVR needs rebooted, which I cannot do from the app w/o losing the recordings for good. Which defeats the purpose of remote viewing.So far, this thing is garbage.

Makes it super easy to review camera footage seeking out human/vehicle/all events that occurred through-out the night or day. I can review a 24hr period in less than 5mins using the "AI Human" search inquiry. Cops love it too ... they've come to my home to review footage for missing elderly, mailbox break-ins, gas thefts, etc. to see suspects, get a time reference, etc.

As a basic DVR, it records from old cameras. If you're expecting it to do anything stated with AI, prepare to be sorely disappointed. I have hours of "events" that are just shadows from the tree blowing that don't remotely resemble a human or vehicle. They show it outlining people and vehicles, that doesn't happen. As far as I can tell, the "AI" function is a complete lie. It only seems to work with Internet Explorer, given how many people are moving away to browsers like Brave it really should be more compatible. If you want a cheap DVR to get you by because your old 720p one died, this will more or less do the same thing as a cheap old one but more quietly. Beyond that...keep shopping.

SSD recorder has been in use for about 4 months with no issues. Completely silent recording. Way better than the hard drive recorder I was using beforehand.

The Quality is amazing compared to my old DVR . The flexibility and functionality is great . Its Small and includes a SSD Harddrive for the price beats the others hands downI am extremely happy with this DVR .

This DVR replaced a much older one. I have both SDI and TVI cameras, so this DVR doesn't work with the SDI cameras but I knew that, so will replace the SDI cameras with TVI. It's AI for motion detection is decent, but snow falling and animals still triggers the DVR. Also, the image quality doesn't seem to be as good as my older DVR, but I have to see if I can adjust some settings to improve quality. I like that this one is quiet, since it is an SSD drive and there's no cooling fan.
