These shoes are made of aluminum however they feel substantial and well made and are easy to install. I like that they are a true satin black and perfectly match the satin black balusters. If matt black shoes are inadvertently used with satin black balusters it creates a mismatched and cheap appearance. The shoes are all individual packaged in small plastic bags and not a single one of the shoes I received were scratched or dented. The shoes come with directions for 2 different installation methods to choose from and I'm looking forward to completing my railing. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I have not yet had the opportunity to install them so I cannot attest to their durability. If something changes I will come back and edit my review.

I’m really surprised when I received it coz they mailed me an extra shoe just in case I need it. It’s very thoguhtful😊 Every shoe is individually packed with no scratches. There’s also a user manual with instructions of both pictures and supplemental text. Its clear and very easy to follow. It took me one week to finish installing and gave my house a new look! I love it. Definitely would recommend this product to my friends.
