A quick YouTube search yielded a video on how to swap these out. It was very simple - four screws. The probe wire connects to the back of the control panel. It's easy to remove the old one and just as easy to connect the new one. Route the wire so it doesn't get caught in the auger mechanism. I was getting an RTD probe error that made my stove inoperable and this was the fix it needed. Apparently these probes go bad regularly and need replaced. If you're getting and RDT error on your CampChef this is the fix.

It wasn't a direct replacement for my Camp Chef PG24DLX. The plug is different. The product image on Amazon shows the correct plug, but that is not the one that was sent. I managed to force the plug into the connector on my smoker but it isn't exactly locked in place. Vibrations might back the plug out over time.Seems to read the correct temperature now though.

I keep killing the probes. I use 4 and I guess they get damaged quickly (cleaning?). I do not know why I lose one every few cooks but have gone through 4 in several years. I love tracking my temps from the App.

I bought 2 sets of these for my Camp Chef Woodwind and none of the 4 temperature probes work. They look like the original probes that came with my original smoker and the male plug fits just fine. However none of them register any temps with the smoker.

Went in very easily i just wish i replaced the igniter while i was taking it apart but it was not too hard to take apart if it fails in the future.

This sensor was advertised as a replacement for the internal temp sensor on my 36†Woodwind Pellet Grill. It did not come with the plug in connector, just the ends that would not fit the grill’s connector pins. I used the old connector end, splicing it into the new sensor. When I operated my grill this internal temp sensor did not work at all and I was unable to use my grill.
