Extra thick and dense
Each 7.25" compost filter is 0.4" (10mm) thick and densely packed with activated charcoal to maximise odor absorption and lifetime of the filters.
Cut to fit
Each package comes with a square and round cutting template for most standard compost bins. This includes 4.5", 5", 5.5", 6.25" and 6.5" sizes. The out of the box size is 7.25" round.
Universal replacement set
Simply Carbon compost filters are designed for common compost bins. We caution the use of many “bulk buy” filters which are often too thin, have less carbon density and require more frequent replacing.
Resealable storage bag
The filters are packaged in a resealable storage bag, maintaining shelf-life over the lifespan of the set. Better yet, the bag is 100% biodegradable using d2w technology.

I needed a thicker filter for a newly purchased metal countertop compost bin as the manufacturer included very thin filters that even when doubled let the odor out. Shame on the manufacturer for supplying cheap thin filters with a good compost bin.These thicker filters are amazing and work great in the lid of my metal compost bin. I also recommend the green compost bags Amazon sells as they work well in the bin and compost well.

These are great and really thick, so they do absorb odors, but just know you will have to cut them to size as they are a bit big. That is the only drawback. Good product.

These filters are as awesome as they look.They are thick and big enough to snugly fit in our 1 gallon composter lid after a minor trim. (I bought some other replacements that were supposed to fit--they were flimsy and way too small. The fruit flies were able to sneak right around them.)Even though I could figure out the size without a template, it's a really thoughtful touch!

This is a biodegradable filter safe for use in the kitchen. It is easy to cut to size and absorbs orders.

Does what it supposed to do. Eliminates smells from our compost bucket, which is kept in the kitchen. We change it every three months as recommended, but probably could get a few extra weeks out of each one. We’ve been buying these for three years.

This certainly looks natural but don’t think that it’s going to fit into every filter. It markets itself like it’s going to replace any circular filter but the steel composter I bought doesn’t have a top that separates to let in a filter. You have to shove it in. The only way I could get this filter into my composter top was to cut it smaller and then cut it in half, sticking each half in separately. Just know that you will receive a very firm and inflexible filter. It seems to be good quality but is NOT soft.
