How to use
1.Locate the pump as close as possible to the pool.
2.The pump suction line should not be smaller than the pressure line. All piping must be airtight
3.The threads on the pump must be sealed with Teflon Tape or Silicon, when the pump unions are screwed on.
4.The weight of the piping should be supported independently and not carried by the pump.
5.Fill the pump tank with water before starting.
6.High suction lifts, or long suction lines, require additional time and reduce the performance of the pump.
7.The water being pumped cools and lubricates the seal.
8.After the pump tank has been filled with water, and the motor started, allow a few moments for the pump to start delivering water.

It was a very easy installation, as it was almost the indentical size of the Hayward Super-Flo it replaced. I'd read some reviewers say that the electrical hook up part was difficult, but I did not experience that at all. It is nice and quiet, seems to have plenty of power and I really couldn't be happier, after one month. Time will be the big tell. I am almost certain that the old Hayward was original equipment, but I'm not certain how old that would make it. I'd run it for 6 years, and I feel that's not a bad life, but the previous owner may have had it rebuilt. Don't know about that. But that is the real test of an electric motor, how well will it age? We. Will. See.

Right out of the box it didn't work. It was a hassle returning it. They make you talk to the company to trouble shoot but it's done through message on Amazon. So it takes a few days, making you feel like your going to miss the return date. Would not perform this company again

I thought this is a well made pump. I had to return due to the fittings would not match up. It is a good value for the money. I wish it would have worked out. Now, I have to spend double. The company however, was very responsive and helped me with the return

This was the 3rd motor in a year I put on my in-ground 35,000 gal. pool , the first 2 were 240V and this little 120V rig out pumps them both as well as out lasted them !! Been running it for a year now 8hrs a day every day and it pulls the pool sweep around like a champ all day every day. Couldn't be more pleased with it and for the money, what a great deal !! I would give it 11stars if I could. Love that it is not water cooled like most pumps , it has a fan on one end that keeps it air cooled and that is saying something as I live in Phoenix , AZ and it gets to 118 to 120 degrees during the summer and no problems at all. Well built and I am trained in electrical and mechanical so I do not say that lightly. Best pool pump ever!!
