The price was certainly good, but the product is a bit flimsy. Also, the accuracy on miter cuts isn’t great. But, for the price, I wouldn’t expect spit on cuts. Also, no instructions included in package.

I have wanted one of these tools since I first saw them advertised online a while back. I think the concept is brilliant and it looked like it would be perfect for someone like me who isn't a trained trim carpenter for cutting miters. As we all know, no walls are perfectly square. This can lead to some pretty ugly results sometimes when cutting trim to the standard 45°. A lot of the time you end up either using a lot of caulk or having to recut at a slightly different angle. Even the "pro-tip" of cutting a degree or 2 off so the pieces join together better in the front doesn't always work.Enter this tool. Using it is simple enough, simply hold it up to the wall, allow it to take the shape of the corner you're looking to trim out, and lock it in. Then simply take your trim and one side at a time put in on the jig in the same orientation it'll be placed and use your saw to cut down the line inside of the metal rods. And boom! Perfect joint every time. This may take longer than other methods but it does provide a perfect joint that you and your customers will be impressed by. And this works on many different angles, not just 90s (bay windows anyone?).The jig itself seems well made of good quality materials. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. The metal rods provide a good slot for cutting and keep you from messing up your cut or cutting into the plastic. The locking mechanism is secured by a wingnut and allows you to quickly lock and unlock the angle you need.Overall I've very happy I finally picked one of these up. Highly recommend 5/5
