it works ok and I have had success making and repairing battery packs with this strip. But it isn't pure nickel. Using a good magnet, the iron core is apparent.

I used this in a battery build and the pack overheated, almost started a fire.The description calls this product a nickle "Plating" strip. The word should instead be: "Plated"Since pure nickle AND steel are both attracted to a magnet you can't confirm the presence of steel that way.One easy test: I clipped off a sample and put it in a solution of ordinary table salt and water overnight.It rusted, which my other roll which IS pure nickle, did not rust.Steel strips have a higher resistance than pure nickle, so when presented with high amp draw the strips heat up. As a safety thing, don't use this in Lithium Ion battery pack builds or connection with high amp draw.
