This Seesii 2-in-1 Spot Welder and Battery Tester is an interesting combination. The battery tester works really well, and it reads fast. It dosnt have any obvious way to turn it on or off, which I thought was a little odd, but not an issue, just an observation. It is capable of testing soo many different strength & sizes of batteries, without needing to make any changes or adjustments, which is so nice & helpful!I am a total beginner with using a spot welder! Also, I tend to talk rather technically at times, so please bare with me, especially for things I may say that would be obvious to others!😊 With that said, after learning more about spot welding, I discovered one of the biggest advantages of a spot welder is using the nickle strips to connect batteries together, because it provides a strong, low-resistance connection with minimul heat generation. Minimul heat generation is very important for certain diy projects too, because I learned 1st hand, that to much heat on an area that carries positive and negative electrons, (even if not activated), can cause a big spark with embers exploding, and thats pretty scary! Lol I was attempting to fix a toy of my kids, but I had the spot welder turned up way to strong, and so I learned my lesson! Start at a Low Strength and work your way up, adjusting settings higher slowly if need be, don't just jump several strengths ahead. *Just a friendly & hopefully helpful suggestion for other spot welder beginners like myself, as I can not speak in reguards to others whom are framilar with a spot welder! 😊A saudering gun would have caused dammage to the battery house and possibly caused a more extreme explosive reactive. A spot welder is suppose to be more mechanically stable than say saudering for the crucial components within a battery cell.I have so many diy projects I want to complete, and so I feel this spot welder is crucial for me, as a beginner and I am really excited for all the things I plan to learn and projects to take-on!Its not hard to use, especially if you learn well from trial and error! Lol The dirrections are written very thoroughly, which is great, but honestly, I still was having a hard time following them. I had to bring up Youtube videos and do some google searches on handheld spot welding. I was able to achieve alot of clean & strong spot welding though.I'd prefer the dirrections that came with this to be a bit more beginner friendly, that is the only thing about this that I would change.

I am a tinkerer by nature and I have wanted one of these for a LONG TIME because I am also a Contractor and I have a good number of power tool battery packs that need a cell or two replaced to get them up and running properly again. Also, have other projects that I can eliminate the battery boxes and make my own packs. All that aside, this thing is awesome. It has the power to really sting the strip if needed but can also be fine tuned for how much power it puts out and the duration of the sting. It is super easy to use and once it senses that both probes are in contact it starts the spot weld and finishes it based on the settings. All that needs to be done is to touch it to whatever you are spot welding and hold it there until its done. This thing is awesome and I can already see all the possibilities this has and all the money it is going to save me by letting me fix my power tool battery packs.I also love that it is rechargeable and that it is all self contained with no extra parts or cords. It comes with 2 generous strips of nickel banding and extra probes. Everything you need to get welding is right in the box. Plus this is a great option for those that dont spot weld that often but still need the capability.I am super happy with the machine and I would absolutely recommend it. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Plus the battery tester works great and is super helpful with battery pack projects. 100% recommended! A++++.

First off I wasn't expecting very much from this spot welder due to its listed price in comparison to other spot welder units on the market. This is the second mobile battery spot welding unit i've used so far and for its price its pretty impressive. This kit includes everything you need to get started in the world of battery pack construction. It includes with the spot welder and digital universal battery tester, a USB-C cable for charging, 2 spare brass pen replacement tips, a file, some sandpaper for tip maintenance, 2 5-meter rolls of 0.15mm nickle strips, and a manual loaded with information as to recommended settings for optimal results (something more expensive units tend to forget). Using the bit of information provided of recommended settings, my first attempt was a success. The weld was already rock solid with just 2 points, but i added another 2 for symmetry and it refuses to budge. The unit has two welding methods of operation, 'AUTOMATIC' meaning as soon as it detects a full circuit it sends the welding pulse, and 'MANUAL' which relies on both the users inputted delay settings & a press of a button on top of the unit. Personally I preferred the automatic method as it seems to be the easiest to use, but of course it comes down to one's personal preference. I would certainly recommend this to someone looking for an entry level unit without breaking the bank.

I wish I could give this zero stars! I am a retired electrical engineer so there is no operator error, here. For $35 does this sound too good to be true? Well it is. At the highest settings this thing will pierce the supplied nickel tape but it will not spot Weld to the point of reliability. I can easily pull the connectors off after spot welding twice on the large negative side. The electrodes on this are too wide to even attempt to spot weld on the positive side. I don't know how it got such high reviews (ALL Amazon’s Vine Reviews, by the way), because this thing is a piece of junk. It's a waste of our time to order, wait, receive, test, then have to return it just because the seller is not truthful about its capabilities. They should have to pay me for my time, not just give a refund! Shouldn’t the video in their ad spend a lot of time showing the operation and result instead of just flashy images of the product over annoying music? If the product really worked well they would have a video of it in operation and somebody demonstrating the strength of the connection. There’s a reason they don’t have that.
