I was looking for something to monitor my solar system for my gate opener. I like that I could get 2 m here in white so they're bright enough to see in sunlight and use one to monitor voltage from the solar panel and the other to monitor voltage from the storage battery. The low current drain of 24 milliamps which I verified allows it to just run constantly without draining the battery overnight. And this will be a very proactive way to make sure that I see problems before they occur. I don't think the meters are waterproof enough to be exposed to open weather so I housed them in a water tight box. The picture looks like the display isn't right because of the multiplexing. But I think that's how the display is so bright while consuming so little power.
