When you want maximum glue release, pull the trigger which elevates the sponge, creating a 1/16th in gap, and glue is fed by a ribbed barrel to the sponge below. Think of this as painting with glue, and this is great for veneer work or panel glue-ups where max glue is needed but the bottle is just too slow. There is a resting tray, which you can mount to another board for stability. There is a 2nd roller but there are no instructions on how to replace it. Might need to look online for that solution. Handle unscrews for storage, too.

We are semi retired furniture makers, this is a great professional guality product for quickly putting glue where you want it. Great for edge gluing table tops, cutting boards etc. Easy to clean up and it comes with a stand for holding it up when filled with glue. Great product.
