The glue gun is impressive with quick heat up and a narrow focus nozzle. It connects to the MAKERX hub and has expandable power. The flexible power cord is part of the Power Share family. The LED temperature indicator and 10 mini glue sticks are great inclusions. It's also 20V battery compatible, adding to its convenience. Overall, a highly functional tool.

This gun is my favorite new toy, everything is getting hot glued! Heats up quick, let’s you know it’s ready when the red light turns green. Barely squeezing the trigger will give you just the right amount. A full squeeze is usally too much. Once you get the hang of it you’ll be in love too!

I really like this glue gun! The mini glue sticks fit all the way in, and I didn’t have to keep feeding it in order to heat the glue like my old glue gun.My only note is that because it stays heated for a while, a small bit of glue spills out when not in use. Make sure to have something underneath it to protect your work surface. The heat does turn off after about 10 minutes, which is a good safety feature. It would be great if it came with a stand or something to prop it up, but overall great performance. The glue consistently stayed hot, and while working I never had to wait for it to heat up. It didn’t feel hot even after using it for about 30 minutes.

Heats up fairly well. The thing I like about it is the portability. I have several equipment made by Worx and I am a satisfied customer.

Update (12/29/21): Heats up really quickly (as advertised), and the LED for the power button changes from RED to GREEN (see pics).Summary: I have had rotary tools long enough to remember when the first real accessory for a Dremel was the extension shaft. This is similar in that you have relocated the power source away from the part that you hold, resulting in a lightweight tool. Â The Worx Maker-X is a very convenient system, especially when you pair it with a regular sized brushless drill (listed below).Observations (glue gun): This mini-glue gun is a great addition, especially when using around the yard, where a 120V AC line would require an extension cord. Â The Maker-X line powers up quickly (e.g. the soldering iron), so I expect this glue gun to heat up fairly quickly. Â Conclusion (glue gun): At $30, rating this 5-stars, highly recommended, along with the rest of the Worx Power Share 20V line. The rest of this review is for the previously reviewed WX739L Rotary tool combo (there is video in the link below):https://www.amazon.com/review/R3HSAXMQJGSDVS/ref=pe_1098610_137716200_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rvObservations (maker-X system):1) To test the rotary grinder (Dremel equivalent), I used the included 3/4" cut-off wheel, and cut a 1" section off from a 3/32" thick curtain rod bracket. Additional detail in that review.2) Next I looked at the Angle Grinder. The 2" disc should be sufficient for most small tasks, and would excel at bolt/round stock cut off. I like that the motor is brushless, as that is then newest technology, which makes for more efficient and cooler running. You can really dial the speed down very slowly, which I showed in the video.3) Lastly, I tried the soldering iron. Having soldered things just about my entire life, I was really looking forward to this; however, the temperature seems very low, relative to what the digital readout indicated. It does heat up quickly, and adjusts back down relatively quickly. I need to test this further, so for now I'm rating it fair. One thing to note, you'll probably need to increase the heat much higher than indicating.Recommendations:1) These systems of tools really makes economic sense when you have many of them. This MakerX combo has the rotary tool, angle grinder, and soldering iron, and they also offer an air brush. I'm sure they intend to release more tools. The 20v Power Share is also compatible with many Worx 20v tools also. The heat gun is the only one sold separately, not as part of any combo. I intend to buy the mini heat gun; the reviews are fair, not great, but I would much rather use a mini heat gun than a lighter to shrink heat wrap.2) For the angle grinder and soldering iron accessories, I used a 2-compartment Sistema container (link below), and added some foam to hold the bits from rattling around; I think it turned out really well. Drops right inside the bag, and all the little bits are there at your fingertips.Pros: Good fit & finish; brushless motor (rotary and angle grinder); 20v Power Share family of tools; includes a tool bag.Cons: A bunch of warning & caution stickers; soldering iron isn't super hot. Conclusion: At $170 for this set, I rate this 5-stars, and I would recommend this WX991L set over the smaller/lower cost offerings (like the rotary only for $100). Spend a little time to see which kit would suit your needs and budget.Related Products:WORX WX992L 20V MAKERX 2Pc Combo Kit - Rotary Tool + Air Brush - $130https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFNF8MYWORX WX739L MAKERX Rotary Tool Kit - $95https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KF1LKMQWorx MAKERX WX743L.9 20V Mini Heat Gun (Tool Only) ~ $23https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFMJTJVWorx Nitro WX843L 20V Power Share 3/8" Cordless Crown Stapler ~ $100https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094NY9BTJ

I ordered this glue gun, since I already have several pieces of equipment from the Worx Maker Line. When you order just the individual tool, that is all you will receive. You will need to have the portable power supply, and battery to go with the tool. This plugs into a cord which connects to a battery. It does have a power button on the glue gun itself. To operate it, you need to turn on the power button on the tool, as well as the power button on the battery.I found that this glue gun reaches temperature very quickly. I have used several mini glue guns and larger glue guns that are corded, and this glue gun heats up quickly in comparison. This glue gun heats up easily 10 times faster than my corded glue gun. The glue gun itself seems to stay cool, so there is no concern there.I found the design of this glue gun to be very ergonomic. It fits very nicely in my hand. I don't feel like it's too large or awkward. This glue gun takes the mini glue sticks. It comes with 10 longer sized mini sticks. I do not normally see the longer variety of the mini glue sticks at the store, but they are available on Amazon. This is a great glue gun for using when you don't have a power outlet around. Honestly, I would probably reach for this glue gun first, even if I did have a power outlet available to me. I personally just love how quickly it heats up. When I am normally reaching for the hot glue gun, It is for a small project. I'm usually just trying to hurry up and get it done, so this glue gun fits the bill for me perfectly.Overall, this is a great glue gun. It heats up super quick, feels great in your hand, and of course is simple to operate. I'll definitely be reaching for this for future craft projects. I would recommend it.
