The notebooks in this set of 3 exercise journals are compact (about 4x5.5") and a good value. Each page can accommodate up to 5 sets of 9 exercises, which is likely to be sufficient for most people. The facing page has blocks for notes, nutrition, sleep and assessment of difficulty of the training session. I think this is a sensible arrangement, though whether it meets your particular needs depends on what information you want to record. My preference would have been to devote all pages to exercise rep information with a small space at the bottom for notes; I don't need to a large space for notes on nutrition or sleep, so half of the pages are useless for me. I also found the pages smaller than I prefer, but I'm using this at home so portability is not an important consideration for me.If the layout of these journals matches the information you want to record, I think they're pretty good. They didn't quite do that for me because I won't use the pages for sleep and nutrition notes, which are half the journal. Still, it's much better than not keeping workout data or scribbling it on bits of pieces that you can't find later.

I like the layout of this, but these are really small and I tend to have a larger style handwriting. So this didn't work for me like I thought it would.
