I knew better than to buy cheap. The Cam locking tool, because of the strength of metal allowed the cams to rotate while trying to break the bolts loose and even using a breaker bar and not an impact the head of the special tool for the Cam bolts, broke and stripped the head of the cam bolt.

The plates are high quality with a precise fit, so they function as designed. They are quite durable and a good value for the money. I like the storage capacity of the box each piece has its own spot.

This is a good timing tool. It is made well and works great. Easy to use and understand. I love the case it comes in.

The camshaft holding plates appear to be well made, and I had no issues with them. BUT...The MP11 spline bit that comes in this kit is a loose fit in the cam phaser bolt heads. The bit will tend to cock when loosening or tightening the bolt. The length of the bit amplifies the problem.Using the suppied MP11 bit can (and did) strip out the bolt head when torquing to yield. A lot of headache and two lost days getting this timing chain job done.A TP-55 Torx Plus bit that is half the length makes the job MUCH easier.

Was hoping for a new item not a scratched up one. I need this Monday for cam phasers and I’m worried that someone returned this after messing something up. The torx head is worn as well.
