Like many others, there was a noticeable bulge in the center when used on my dewalt 20V sander. I was not willing to install without the center dust cap which protects the internals, so I took a lighter to it and very slowly heated it up until the rubber backing around the center just started to melt, and then wiped off a fine layer. Repeat like 20 times. I got them to work barely. Would not recommend; not ready for serious use out of the box with Dewalt.
