I got these because I had just gotten finished with hanging my Halloween lights outside, and when I pulled them out of the box, they were a tangled nest that took two of us to straighten out. I vowed that I would find a better method to store them for next year, and I did! I saw these on Amazon for a really nice price and offering 4 in a package. They are made really clever with little notches so you can secure the ends when you're finished winding them, and they won't unwind during storage. I'm sure they are going to be an efficient way to store my holiday lights.

Our kids are grown so the tug to do the over-the-top decorating for Christmas has passed us. But I still want a tree up every year. Honestly, last year we put the tree up and lights and then called it a day before we put the ornaments on it and it still looked really nice.But getting there, even trying to stay as organized as possible at the end of each season, can be just shy of a nightmare. The handles on these are a challenge to turn the more string it has on it. But...anything is better than what we've been doing - which isn't much.These have made our lights a lot more organized and I'm going to get a second set to cover more of our lights.

I want more. These are the perfect answer to the light nightmare. They are easy to wind and can hold more than one string, depending on length. When wound up the lights can be stored in rows so you can see the colors of the lights. So much easier than them all tangles in a box and having to pull out all the strings to find what you want. You could even put a label on each winder to make it even easier. They feel strong and do not bend or flex when winding.

These have a design defect that when you rotate them around as the lights get heavier the rotating section of the handle separates from the post. As soon as there is some resistance from the weight of the lights this happens. You can push them back on, but they come back off.Too bad because the rest of the design is good, the hooks to hold the first set and the wide Y shape makes them funnel in correctly.

While this does hold the lights well. I found that the turning handles fell off a lot. Rotating this made the handles come off. Which was annoying but you could still use it to hold lights. But the handles came off easily and each set.

Perfect for my light-duty task of keeping beaded garland from becoming a tangled mess. I wrap multiple strands around each holder and they go on and off with ease. The handles easily slip off and don’t really work for the winding motion. Regardless, the holder works.

These will be great at cleanly storing strands of lights after the holidays. They're big enough to hold long strands, or multiple strands, but yet very light weight for easy use. I'm very happy with these and may be getting more if the need arises.
