When I'm making my homemade wine and have to move full/heavy glass carboys, this is the perfect solution to aid in moving them without the catastrophic event of dropping them, as well as moving them where needed during the racking process. These are made well; a little tricky to get on the carboy at first, but once on, they'll stay put. Be sure to put these on when your carboy is empty, it will save you some angst. 😉 I knocked stars off because the price point is twice that of similar types of carboy straps - if this were a two-pack, then it would rate at five stars.

I use the 5 gallon glass jugs for spring water & I have found that it's extremely hard to carry when filled with water due to weight and not having a handle. After a few drops/broken bottles I had a hard time finding a solution to carry the jugs. I tried the plastic handle holders which DO NOT WORK for these as they are too heavy (another broken bottle). These have been amazing! Although they are not a "perfect" fix to carrying glass jugs, they are much better than without. The pros- really strong and well made, the straps are adjustable, around the glass giving some buffer room, easy to assemble. good fit to jugs, and easier to carry than without for weight. The con- awkward to carry, you almost have to carry it in a waddle walk in front of you to not hit knees or shins.

I have a 3-gallon glass carboy that I like to use for water, and I have to take it to the water store to fill it. This strap has made it so much easier to carry it in and out of the store, it's really a godsend. The bottle is heavy by itself, but with water in it, I'm constantly afraid I'm going to drop it, and this makes me feel so much more secure in carrying it. It was a bit of a chore to adjust all the straps down to fit the 3-gal bottle instead of a 5-gal one, but once it's set, you're good. I just leave it on my bottle. I like that you can clip the shoulder strap on (or off) quickly and easily. Definitely a good thing to have for your carboys!

This a great tool if you're moving heavy carboys around, and don't want to risk dropping them. I hate brewing in plastic, but carboys over about a gallon get heavy, and if you spill at all, they can be slippery too. this gives good handles to something that would otherwise be a drop risk, and maybe a dangerous one.

I principally use plastic carboys for my winemaking hobby due to their lighter weight and ease of handling. Although made for 5-gallon glass carboys, Storbuff’s carboy carrying straps readily provide the means for lifting my 6-gallon filled plastic carboys. There are other products made for lifting carboys that attach to the narrow neck of glass and plastic carboys. However, too frequent stories of carboy necks snapping off resulting in the remainder of the carboy smashing with gallons of wine and broken glass all over the floor led me to decide that carboy carrying straps are the way to go.The Storbuff straps are heavy-duty and well-stitched and the likelihood of them failing in use is remote. The most challenging thing I had to deal with with these straps was figuring out how to attach them to my carboys. Based on my recent experience, I recommend mounting the straps when the carboy is empty. It’s less stressful doing it when the carboy is empty and it allows you to more easily manipulate the vessel. Storbuff’s adjustable buckles made attachment of the straps easier than I initially expected. After the few minutes it took to initially do so and mount the lifting hand straps, I adjusted everything, including its lifting straps to a lifting length that worked best for me.These aren’t the first carboy carrying straps I’ve used but, with their heavy webbing and adjustable snap buckles, they’re the best I’ve ever used. If you’re into craft beer or winemaking, I recommend Storbuff’s carrying straps for moving filled glass and plastic carboys.

This is kind of genius, especially if you camp or regularly use the three and five gallon water jugs. I frequently camp for long periods and heading out with enough water loaded has to be the biggest pain. This is simple but a well made design. It feels a step above military grade with the thick nylon web straps with large clip fasteners. There are two long handles making it possible to barely lift it off of the ground. Trust me when I say it can save a backI have a bad back and use this to save all the lifting for my hiking pack and moving camp. I can lift it but this means low risk lifting of the over 40 pounds each 5 gallon jug.

I love this. I am 70 and I wouldn't be able to carry the Carboy if it wasn't for the straps. I decided to leave them on in case I needed to move the bottle. It was easy to assemble on the bottle (with no instructions), and a breeze to use. We purchased the 3 gallon Carboy Glass Bottle from Amazon. 5 stars in my book.
