I bought one of these to provide a means to connect a generator to my house via the breaker box in my shop building and it works great! The box and connector are of good quality and easy to connect to 8 guage cable. The connector is twist lock so it won't accidentally separate if the cable is bumped. I especially like the green lamp that shows when current is present so I know the generator is providing power. I liked it well enough that I ordered a second one to connect to the breaker panel in my garage building as an alternate connection point.

BESYL 50-Amp Generator Inlet Box NEMA 3R Plug, SS2-50P Power RV Indoor/Outdoor...I purchased a previous box that actually cost more but had major problems with the knockouts. They didn't work. So I bought this one. Let me tell you, this puppy works fantastic!It has a really nice plug cover and the receptacle seems to be solid.I highly recommend this particular brand and model.As for handling the power, No issues so far. (5 hour run with 200' deep water well and 4-ton central air running on genset through this unit. I'll be doing more testing and will add to my review should anything change but for now, it's perfect.

Most of these power ports have knockouts that never want to come out. Usually we need to use a holesaw on them. And we've install many of them. This one comes with weatherproof removable plugs in all the holes. This is absolutely the best PowerPort we've ever used. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

If you're using 6/3 w/ground MC cable, this is the box for you. The 1.2-inch predrilled knockouts are very convenient and the perfect size for the wire fittings required. The outlet also has the hole in the center to facilitate the post in the center of many generator input plugs. I knocked off a star for ease of install because, although larger than many boxes, when you're dealing with 6-gauge wire, a little more depth would be appreciated. Recommended!!!!
