The flame sensor monitors the burner to detect whether or not a flame is present. If the sensor does not detect a flame, it shuts the gas valve off, preventing raw gas from dumping into your home. Over time, a flame sensor may lose it's the ability to sense the flame, even when the flame is present.

This is listed as a direct replacement for my furnace but the connector is too big. Had to use a Dremel to modify the connector so I could plug it into my furnace. So far it works with the modification I had to make to make it work.

I have ordered this flame sensor before. It works well. (The previous one had a electrical spade connector that was a touch wide.) I used my Dremel tool make it a touch smaller so it would fit the connector on the Lennox furnace. The particular item that was just received is a spare sensor to have on hand when it is required. It appears to have the correct size spade for the Lennox connector. The price was right. It was received in a timely fashion although there was no hurry to get it.

I checked the dimensions and still bought it wrong but it worked at the end. Pay close attention to the 0.3in at the bottom of the sensor because that will connect to your existing set up. Mine was actually 0.2in so I had to stretch it a bit but it worked.

Purchased as a replacement for a Lennox 52W29. The sensor rod is longer than the original (by about 1 cm), but this was not a problem as I had additional clearance anyway and I believe this part can be cut if required. The spade lug for the electrical connection was also around 1 mm wider than the original. This was easily fixed by widening the female connector slightly with a small tool to accomodate the larger lug. So far it has functioned perfectly.

Needed to trim it to fit. Clips was wide. But, once trimmed, it fitted well.

Not entirely sure if this has fixed my problem yet, but I was a bit worried about reading other reviews that said that the connectors didn't exactly match their existing flame sensor. I can't speak to that, but if you have a Lennox G43, then this is the perfect sensor replacement at a fraction of the cost.

Failed to work. Test as soon as received. I kept it as a reserve and found out it did not work till I needed it.
