We have a home that is off-grid, so we deal with a lot of wildlife. The snakes are the main problem. We have used several basic snake tongs over the years, so I was excited to find this one with added features. The light in particular. I was outside at around 11pm a few months back, and there was a rattler on the path. I had never seen one at night. So that was alarming. This having the light is a game changer. It means in the future, I wont need to get help, or manage both the tongs and flash light. Since these have arrived, I have successfully caught another rattle snake and was really impressed with how well these work. I love how far out the reach on this these tongs. Anything to keep you as far away from the snake as possible is a massive advantage. They clamp easily and are easy to manage with a helpful handle on the pole. I tested the light at night and it's very bright. Really can't recommend these tongs enough to anyone who deals with snakes on their property.

Product was delivered with a handle that could not control the claw. Total crap product for the expensive price. I think this is an imitation Chinese product.

This is definitely a long-distance pole for grabbing snakes and other nasty varmints that lurk about and get inside your comfort zone. It works well, with the squeezed handle pulling together the grabber teeth. It won't hurt those slithering creatures unless the user wants to be a cold, heartless jerk. They can be caged and set free in an appropriate environment far away from the home or business. Oh, and the snakes can be as well. The accompanying flashlight fits and works well in dark areas. Good deal.
