I've had this filter for a couple years now and it works like a charm! I don't use the suggested filter and media for it, I made it my own by putting a filter foam on the inside, followed by filter media and I put a carbon pouch on top and it cleans my water so well! Even when you use this filter with the media it comes with it works super well. I have it in my frog tank and it does an amazing job of really sifting out all the gunk. It's a perfect size for a small tank or even a larger one with less water. The only problem I have is a suction cups broke and I had to like ductape the hole off and I only have a single suction cup left but I'm working on fixing it lol. It's lasted me this long I ain't giving it up!! I reccomend this to anyone, you really can't beat it for the price.

UPDATE: I received an email from the seller right away regarding my issue and offering to replace the motor that is no longer working. Though I had hoped the filter would have lasted longer, tgan tgree months. The seller was quick to respond and offer a solution. I will definitely purchase from this seller again! Great customer service!Filter worked great for 2 1/2 months then motor stopped working. My turtle 🢠loves the waterfall. Product does as described, easy to clean, no issues but looking forward to see how long new motor last.

Was working great for 3 months then stopped out of nowhere. Just stopped and has no sign of damage or anything. Can't get it to turn back on. Of course it's 30 days past the allowed return date 😑

The filter is ok, but I think it’s better suited for a smaller tank maybe 20 gallons max. My tank is 55 gallons but almost halfway with water. I have 2 aquatic turtles. The noise level is reasonable. The suction power is average at best. I also noticed since adding the filter that the water accumulates bubbles at the top usually after feedings. My assumption is that it’s the water trying to rebalance itself from the food oils, but it wasn’t doing this before adding the filter. Overall, if your tank is larger than 20 gallons you will need an additional filter with this one to keep the water clear. I’m using 3 filters. Sounds excessive but it keeps the water clear and keeps my place from smelling like a swamp.
