A must have product in the south if you have a kitchen compost bin…because gnats if not! I ran out of these going into winter and needed more because spring is coming and so are the gnats. We use a ceramic compost bin on the kitchen counter for scraps, and then dump it in our outside compost bins every few days. These charcoal filters keep the bin smelling fresh, but still allow it to breathe and function normally. The air can get into the holes in the lid, but not insects, due to the tight fit of the filters. There are double sided stickers included for a secure fit in the lid, if needed. I did use the sticker, the filter “flower petals†made it a little too wide, but the sticker helped it to settle into the top of the lid. It does stick out of the lid a bit, but this does not get in the way of closing the lid. Overall a great product for a decent price, would buy again as needed.

6 Pack Universal Stick-on Trash Can Odor Absorbing Filters, 6.7 Inch Charcoal Filter,Activated Carbon Compost Bin Filters for Trash Cans, Compost Buckets, Countertop and Recycle Bins,FlowerThese work great in the cat food and litter box areas in my house. I keep one on the edge of a table just above the cat box, one on the litter trash can, and one just above the food bowls. They keep the smells from traveling all over the house without fake perfume trying to cover them up. I'm loving this solution, and I highly recommend these filters.

These are a really good size and a decent thickness. They come with little 3M circles to put on the back in the middle, they are very adhesive, however, not user-friendly when trying to remove the backing I spent more time fiddling with the adhesive trying to get the backing off and anything else.I hung mine in the cabinet with the compost bin rather than in the bin (so it doesn’t get dirty and wet). I also put one in my trash can and in our kids diaper genie (diaper bin).Make sure you seal the bag after getting what you need out of it, otherwise they’ll gradually lose effectiveness by absorbing other things from the air. Most charcoal/carbon things can normally be reused a handful of times after putting them out in the sun for a day, so I’ll be doing that.

The filters are just what you would expect. They came with adhesive pads to attach in containers that don't have a holder for the pad. I just cut one to fit my compost container. If you do this, cut over something that will catch the fine fibers that fall.

I got this for my new compost bin that I just got and it fits like a charm. The size is perfect for a smaller trash can and the adhesive is just right. I wish there were instructions or at least an introduction because I hope the size I chose was right because both sides had different textures and I wasn't sure if there was a direction. The product seems adequately thick in that it's not fat but seemed like it had enough. It's going to be hard for me to tell if this actually makes a big difference as most of my worst smells are vanquished by my coffee grinds but at least the onion lingering smell is gone.

I love these charcoal filers. I wish I would have known about them sooner. They are great at making my trash less smelly. I've tried other alternatives but these charcoal filters are by far the best.
