25 year handle broke only because it was misused—can I say, by someone else. Required a little sanding for a perfect fit. Came with a wedge insert & 3 metal anchors. This thing is as solid as it ever was!!! Great balance& handle contour. Love it. Will purchase more if required for any of my other hammers, if ever needed.

No complaints here. Handle went on hammer head after a little sanding. Included the pieces to set the handle which was a nice touch

Ok, I know nowadays you can buy a new hammer for what I spent on this handle. BUT!! When I broke the handle on my father's 60-year-old hammer I was devastated. I've used this hammer for nearly 40 years and I just couldn't throw it away, so I searched and found these Link Claw Hammer Handles in Various Sizes and Styles and found the one in the picture. With very little sanding the handle fit into the head and I was able to secure it. I'm going to pour sealant on the top to finish the replacement but it is a perfect fit. Many thanks for Link's help in replacing a handle on a sentimental favorite tool.

After breaking the handle in my brush axe I ordered this as a replacement. It worked great and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a replacement.

Made from hickory and made in the USA had to file it down to fit the hammer head but is great otherwise.

Took a chance, that I regret, that these handles were for oval eye hammer heads (e.g., ball peen hammers), but they're not, they're for rectangular eye heads (e.g., claw hammers). I shouldn't have bought it without better description and actual eye dimensions. Also, grain of wood is oriented 90 degrees from the way it should be; hammer handles (like wooden baseball bats) should have annual growth rings parallel to the arc of a swing, and the wood grain of my handle will result in handle failure much sooner than if it were properly made. See pic.

The handle wood was very good quality. However, the holes in it did not align with blade holes ; I inserted one screw, the other two were about 1/8 inch off.
