We average nine or so copperhead encounters a year in the backyard, after one bit our dog, decided to start evicting them with this grabber. The grabber is well made, sturdy and does the job! It's long enough to keep me save from their nasty fangs and a has powerful grip that keeps them restrained.

The length keeps the snake safely away from you. Have caught 3 so far and one was a baby this catcher held on to it with no problem but do have to adjust how tight you hold it if you don’t want to injure the snake as we have good ones too

Well I needed this to deal with a black snake that seemed to think my shed shelves at head level was his hang out. Once he hissed at me while mating n that went deep to my core so I decided he had to go. He was approximately 6 foot long. Thank goodness this was too. This allowed me to safely grab him near the head and attempt to pull him out. Unfortunately he wrapped around something cause I only saw 3 feet and a tug of war ensued to which I lost. Guess he decided he didn't want to hang around so he's gone. Have moved several snakes safely. Glad I found this grabber, I hate snakes!!

the assembly instructions are somewhat confusing, got it put together by trial and error, once put together and able to adjust the jaw grip then appear to be a heavy duty build, the tool length is very good considering the strike distance of some snakes - the pic showing being used to grab a snake out of a tree is extremely exaggerating, making it look way much larger in diameter and length than it actually is, very misleading - overall should be a very good snake grabber, just a matter of time till get to actually test it out but I see no problem considering how well it's made that's after you figure out on your own how to assemble it - reduced a star from rated because of how instructions were written

Literally came with a card in incorrect English saying how concerned they were with the shippers handling of this item and that I would have hours in after delivery to reach out to be eligible for warranty/ replacement, and asked me not to hurt a good seller by leaving this reviewCame mechanically defective

We bought this to catch snakes from our chicken coop. It is very sturdy and well made. It grips very tightly. The only bad thing about it was the instructions. It comes in 4 pieces and you have to put it together. They were very hard to understand, but we finally got it together.
