We have had a copperhead infiltration over the past year or so and recently, since Spring is upon us, it has become a bigger problem than ever. I wanted a safer way to deal with all trespassing snakes, since the non-venomous ones I just want to relocate (cuz they are usually eating chicken eggs & terrifying our chickens)The very next day after this arrived my wonderful dogs alerted me to a dangerous situation, a copperhead was only a couple feet in front of me next to the walkway I was on. Thankfully I’m wise enough to listen to my dogs and I stopped before walking too close. I hurried and grabbed my new snake grabbing stick, and I was nervous at first that the grip wouldn’t be tight enough to really hold onto a ticked off poisonous snake. I also got a shovel to be sure, but no need this had a secure grip and I could grab the venomous intruder and remove it from our living space before someone got seriously hurt (again).SAFETY FIRST!!!!I am very very glad to have this around now and feel much safer about handling the copperheads that we have to live amongst in this part of the country. I don’t mess with any wildlife in its own turf, but when it comes onto mine and endangers my household, it MUST be removed and this is definitely my new safer way of doing it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I use this item to help in keeping my yard free of branches and small limbs. I'm not able to bend down to pick up these items so this tool has been a great help. It's very well made, sturdy and easy to operate right out of the box. It can be used to pick up the smallest of twigs which surprised me a little. I highly recommend it. It's a great picker upper!

Nice snake tong. The locking mechanism is cheaply made and when catching a few rattlesnakes the lock would engage and the snakes got away. I eliminated the lock itself and the tongs worked perfectly.

I've been using this to pick up and/or drag smallish fallen tree branches. It's stronger than a typical 'grab-it' tool, but I would not want to use it for very HD use and damage it. Should do fine for snakes; will report back on that in due course. I only hope it holds up.

This is a great tool. I’ve had bull snakes in chicken coop and this dandy tool will squeeze an egg out of snakes throat and pick it up for disposal. Double handy.

I had a rat snake in my household, this item worked well to capture it, hold it and then drag it outside and release it back into the wild! It's extremely sturdy, very simple and easy to use, for the price it exceeded my expectations!

I used this to catch a 5-6 foot long snake in my yard. It worked like a charm and let me safely put the snake in a container so I could transport him to a new home! It kept the snake firmly held without hurting it. Great clamp after catching the rags and snake.

Product arrived as advertised but without instructions Is the reason why I gave it a lower star rating. It took two neighbors to help me figure out how to unlock it so I could use it. The lock is difficult to push and grasp the snake at the same time. It is lightweight and works. The product is made in China and this is not disclosed at time of purchase .
