I had purchased a solar panel before this one to charge my google camera but that one wouldn’t put the camera in solar mode which would cause the battery to die. I bought this and installed it with no issues and on first set up the camera went into solar mode and had been working flawlessly since. I would recommended.

Installed in 5 minutes and it began to work as soon as I plugged it in. My Battery operated Nest Camera instantly knew that it was Connect to Solar mode and began charging.I'll update later in the coming months ahead.

There are a LOT of competing solar panels for Nest cameras, so it was good to find out that this (being one of the cheapest) does everything I'm looking for it to do. It comes with everything that you'll need to connect to a battery-powered Nest Camera.The connector socket is a little wonky, but it does both tighten and allow flexibility to move if necessary. Once you tighten it, it seems to stay with no issue.The light that turns on when it has solar power is a nice addition. The cord is long and I could hide it underneath my siding panels.I've noticed that these panels like to keep the cameras around 72% battery power. I expected that it would fill the camera up to around 100, and then fall over night-- but no, it's happy around 68-72%.NOTES TO YOU (yes, YOU!):-Don't over-think this. If this is the cheapest model, just buy it. If it is near the bottom, just buy it because at least this one I can guarantee does work.-You don't need to read the manual. Just look the parts and figure it out. It's not that complicated, you just have to know that YUP it does connect together, and the parts DO tighten to keep the panel up.-This is intended to power a camera that turns on when motion is detected--NOT ON 24/7. If you have your nest camera set up to record OR display all the time (if you have a Nest Hub and have this camera "on" the display, the camera will keep running and eating the battery. It'll still last a few days, but that's not what this is for).So there you go. Set your outside camera to record whenever it sees motion, or just tune in to the camera when you want a live view, and this will work fine. If you want a 24/7 recording device, you'd still have to plug your "battery powered" camera in to a socket.

It won’t stops working and won’t charge after 40 days, conveniently outside of replacement window.

Although the health check on the Camera indicates that the solar panel is not connected, the blinking light on the solar does indicate that it is charging the battery. Bottomline: Today with the limited winter sunshine, the battery charge went from 96% to 100%. Thus, I’m believing the solar panel. Yay…so far!!!

Added this solar panel to a Ring camera on my BBQ shack. So far it is working as intended. Was cheaper than the Ring branded one and seems to be just as good quality.

Easy to install, has cable management, detected the battery by the Google home app as Infinite Solar mode which is great. The only thing is that it keeps the battery charged between 67-70 percent maybe to keep the charge cycles in check improve battery life.A couple of times the panel even charged the camera in partially cloudy days with few percent which is really great. No issues whatsoever as of now.

The best security system I have gotten yet. I have tried ring, Laview, blink, and roku. Hate all of them. The ring was okay, it just wasn't worth what I was spending. I switched to this system and loved it!! The best. Brightness is the best I've ever seen along with its ease of use. The view angle is completely adjustable due to mounting. Motion detection has no lag. These are for the google nest and help change the game for sure!

Does not charge at all. Incompatible with Ring Spotlight Cam Pro, even though it states it is. Plugs in and not recognised by Ring software and does not charge battery. Waste of money.

J’en ai plusieurs sur des caméras dehors. Ça charge rapidement même quand le ciel est légèrement couvert (souvent le cas en Normandie !!) En cas de nuages de pluie ou orage par contre ça ne charge pas, qui me semble normal.Très avantageux de ne plus avoir à démonter mes caméras pour les recharger.
