I've had perfect sourdough starter since using these lids. Never a problem, perfect rising, and perfect fermentation. Forget cheap options like cheesecloth or foil, buy these. Money well spent!!!

They work properly and even prevent contamination to a point when our tomatoes & garlic ferment started creating a vacuum after a couple months.

I’ve been fermenting just a couple of years and have tried a lot the of gadgets and gizmos that are out there. These silicone lids eliminate the need to “burp†your jars, fit easily with ring screw bands that you probably already have, and the handy date dial on top also eliminates the need for sticky notes or markers to remember the “done by†date. I appreciate the fact they didn’t come with a bunch of useless plastic add on things that just cause more waste. They were packaged in a compact cardboard box, love the efficiency of this product all the way around. Highly recommend!

I admit it I was very skeptical. I decided to pickle watermelon and in 3 days my metal lids looked like they had been crushed and folded by some giant. I found these and got them on immediately. Yes, they puffed up and if you put your nose close you could smell the delicious aroma. But...no leaks, no damage and when the time was up the watermelon was terrific. Washed them up, they look like new and will use them again.Beats the water seal lids hands down.

The quality is good and the airlocks work great. I would recommend them if you are planning to use canning jars for fermenting. I am waiting to see how well they standup under sanitizing for the next time I use them.

Love these for my small batch kraut! easy to use and don't take up any space. Make sure to keep them super clean along with your crock. Love that they are multi-colors and easy to set the date.
