Looks very nice on the door. FYI- the mounting screws come from the inside of door. My last door knocker has screws going in through the front of door.

In the description of this door knocker there are NO dimensions for the screw spacing. I was replacing a previous one that looked like this and the hole spacing was just under 6". Another Amazonian answered my question about screw spacing as 'almost 6"' . So I bought one. Error, error, error.On the card, see picture, it showed the hole/screw locations at each end which would be consistent with the 6" spacing. Unfortunately that had nothing to do with reality. When you look at the back of the casting you see two screw holes 2 13/16" (71 mm) apart. Seems like the manufacture just chose a random dimension.So if you are attempting to install as a replacement for an existing door knocker be sure to include Bondo and sandpaper in your installation supplies.The finish is nice and looking at the screw threads I think it is actually solid brass.

The quality is nice, but there is no template provided to drill holes in the door. As the door is metal, the location of the holes need to be in the precise locations.

Easy to install but can’t hear it any better than when someone is knocking on our exterior door of our porch. Also sounds like someone is using a hammer than a traditional door knocker. Needs to be heavier. Going out to get a new doorbell instead. Would return it but we don’t want to deal with the hole in the door.

I needed a new door knocker. But I was NOT going to go for the same old style that's everywhere. This is as beautiful shiny, and polished as portrayed. Very satisfied!

Door knocker works well, although I purchased this more for aesthetic reasons. Fits nicely between the windows on my door. Easy installation - just make that when you start to drill you’re in a good & comfortable position as you have to drill very straight through your door, no angles. Good price, very happy.

I like it but, as I was replacing one that had been removed when I purchased the house, it did't fit. The description gave the total length that I thought was the length of the centers. Since the holes are already in the door, I want to find the perfect fit. I was able to return the door knocker fortunately.
