Picked this up for our 2012 Chevy Sonic. Quick delivery, much cheaper than the local auto parts stores and worked as expected. Installed in July 2024. If it goes out within the first 365 days, I'll update the review.

The temp sensor went out in my son's 2014 Chevy Cruise. I was able to easily replace it myself with this one and it's working great. I also saved money from having to pay a shop to repair it.

I was having problems with my 2015 Cruze LT. The temp gauge would be working then drop to zero/cool. Then I would get the OBD code that the A/C was shutdown due to high temp. I ruled out a thermostat problem because coolant was flowing through the engine. But there are three sensors: one on the drivers side, one on the radiator hose going to the thermostat and the thermostat itself. To make it easy on myself, I changed all three at the same time. While two of them look the same, this one is for on the passenger side radiator hose that goes to the thermostat. 55591-1401 is the one for the drivers side outlet coolant valve. Can't go wrong with this OEM part and I got it on Amazon at half the price of an off-brand from the auto parts store. With PRIME, I ordered it on Wed and it was delivered on Friday.

Need to check the pin color. Silver pin or gold pin are different sensors don’t switch them up.

This part was easy to install and fits perfectly with no play. Stay away from the cheap ten or fifteen dollar parts from China that don't fit properly. I bought a cheap one and it failed. You get what you pay for folks! Stay genuine!

Bought this for my Chevy Cruze. My temperature gauge was acting up. When starting my car in the morning after it being parked overnight would go to max level and the screen would say my engine is overheating, which is impossible since my engine didn't run for like 12 hours. I knew something was probably wrong with my temperature sensors. It's apparently a common problem in a few Chevy vehicles. Didn't know which one stopped working, so I bought both and had them replaced by a mechanic. Problem fixed!
