Got this so as to have a display in my bedroom. Set up was a breeze and it locked on to the outdoor device's signal without a problem. Had to get used to the slight difference between the displays but these were minor. (I did miss the extra items such as being able to move thru the high index, wind chill, and dew point item, but this were minor things. These are automated on this display based on temp instead of having them available on a front panel button.) Since this was in my bedroom, which is all the way to the back of the trailer from where my computers are, I decided to not connect this display to the computer. I have an extender and it provided a really solid signal to this display. I plan on placing at least two more of these in the Living Room and the Kitchen. A good buy for me.

Our first one lasted for years. Replaced the display when the bearings for the sensor went out (probably due to our nasty winter winds/weather).

Nice system however AcuRite is the wrong name for this unit. It should be AcuWrong because the high temperatures are always too high regardless of the new dual solar panel fan assembly on top. I complained to AcuWrong about this and they sent me a 2nd solar panel unit with fan but I compared both the original and replacement side by side in the sun and they both worked exactly the same. My observations as a Mechanical Engineer show that these units basically have an inadequate fan to pull enough cool air in. The fan is just too weak. On top of this the air plenum this uses around the temperature sensor is built out of ABS type plastic which is solid black in color. This is a near perfect black body which radiates a lot of heat radiation to the sensor and could also contribute to the AcuWrong's elevated readings. I found that at the heat of the day this temperature could be 2-5 deg's too high compared to certified high readings for my area from the internet. Everything else works ok although I did have a problem with the bridge at first until after I sent it in for repair. It now works and everything works as expected except for the temperature being too high in the afternoons as I mentioned above. It is a nice feature to be able to have this online with weather underground. If Acurite can fix this high temperature with these units I think they would have a very nice unit particularly for the price but until then I will be forced to call them AcuWrong. The low temps are spot on.Edit: In regards to the actual color display, I don't really have much to complain about it. It does it's job however the viewing angles are somewhat limited but the fact that font is larger than some of the other displays make this a nice unit to view from up to 8-10 ft.Most of the above comments were in reference to the Acurite 5 in 1 sensor and not the color display..

I have had the display for less than a week. The backlight worked fpr 3 days, the it started going off and on. IT goes on for about 2 seconds and off for longer.continually. Have to use flashlight to read.

This is a replacement for a display to a 5 in 1 weather station. Has been running well for over 2 years. The only down side is it has to be mounted at eye level. If higher or lower the display is very hard to read.

I bought this display to work with my 5 in 1 weather sensor and it was simple to setup. The unit works well and displays many different types of weather measurements. My main beef with this unit is that it is too bright to keep in a bedroom at night. The auto dim feature is useless. It is still much too bright and will keep you from sleeping.
