This weather station is super easy to install, set up, and pair. I love the color display - very easy to see and discern various weather elements. The debris screen on the outdoor unit is great to keep the unit functioning with minimal cleaning. I loved it so much I bought one for my son and he is equally fascinated by the output - we are both avid gardeners and skywatchers, so we love the weather and the moon phase features.

Does great job reporting current conditions. Accurate temperature, humidity, pressure and rainfall as compared to NWS, aneroid barometer, mercury thermometer.

It was a lot bigger than I imagined, which was really good ! Set up was easy , the display is so much nicer than the prior weather station I had. The only small issue was the two screws they supplied for securing the sensor to the mount were not the right Diameter but luckily I had some correct screws on hand . I am very happy with this unit and it arrived a lot faster than I expected.

The AcuRite units are decent, low cost weather stations, where the main problem is with the aspirator fan and solar panel that powers the fan. Either the solar panel, or the fan, often fail, and then the unit overheats in the sun and gives wildly high temperature readings. It is March here in Maryland, and the base unit is telling me that the highest temperature recorded so far is 92 degrees (the actual high was about 76). Obviously, the fan wasn't working. My first unit never worked right, the fan would not start up no matter how much sun hit the solar panel. If you opened the unit up, aimed it directly at the sun and gave the fan a push, it would spin slowly. I sent the first unit back for replacement at Amazon, and the second unit worked perfectly for a week. Then the fan stopped working on that unit. I was getting ready to send it back when I saw that Amazon had dropped the price by $40. We called, and got the $40 refund, which I used to buy the 06003RMA1 PRO+ Upgrade with dual solar panels that are tilted so that one gets the morning sun, and the other gets afternoon sun. I installed the dual panel upgrade, and now the 5-in-1 sensor is working great. I can't say how long the upgraded unit will work, but I will post an update if the dual panel aspirator fan unit fails.Otherwise, the unit if nice. Construction is cheap, but the unit is very low cost compared with units like those from Davis. I really like the ability to adjust readings for temp, humidity, and rainfall so that if the readings are not correct, you can tweak them. As long as the unit keeps working, I am happy with it. I really didn't want to spend 350 to 600 dollars on a weather station. I highly recommend that if you are considering this unit, get the one with the two solar panels rather than the versions with one. This will give you much more accurate outdoor temperature readings when sun is hitting the sensor.

It was bran new; nothing out of the box and none of the plastic covers opened. I purchased it on Amazon warehouse returns. It works as said in directions. I did not try to connect it to my computer or cell phone. I simply want to be aware of temperature and wind. Yes it records wind chill and relative humidity. Inside humid and temp of course. Yes its an entry level weather station. But does what I want and was easy to install.

As a 70 yr old female, my 2 hardest issues were: finding something to mount it on (2 barns and a shop). Next was setting up the D/T/F or C. Took maybe 5 minutes.I put it together in my kitchen, set my pole up and wired it to a fence post. Used my step stool to place the outside station unit on it.Went in side and put the batteries in the screen. And it worked immediately.Piece of cake. I love the large numbers (old eyes). Sure beats trying to read that 25 year old plastic thing through the screen.

Very easy to set up and connect this weather station. I followed the instructions and was able to accurately position the weather station to measure wind direction and measure the rainfall. Temperature readings seem to be accurate. Nice weather station with a lot of features.

We had an older La Crosse Technology weather station that eventually quit working. I researched many weather stations and decided this one had the best reviews from reliable sources.I made the right decision. The instructions were easy to follow and the station and display are built well. The display in particular is laid out well giving a lot of information without being too crowded or having to click through menus. If you buy this and think the fasteners are missing, look in the battery box of the station; they're in there. Also, while you are in the battery box, look for the QC number code which will be the date code you need for the product registration. Don't wait until it is way up in the air.I mounted this on a galvanized steel pole that I had in stock and fastened it to the eaves of our home. The pole is about 8 feet long and the entire station is about 17 feet from the ground and away from obstructions. Make sure everything is level and use the on board bubble level if you can. I devised a hinged mount so the station can be easily lowered to ground level for the annual or biannual battery replacement. The solar panel just helps run the fan which moves the air over the internal temperature sensor to help give an accurate reading when the station is in the sun. The panel does not charge the batteries but they strongly recommend lithium batteries which hold the charge much better in the cold. After only one week of use, I can highly recommend this basic station as being well designed, accurate and very useful.

This was super easy to set up and gives us all the information we are looking for. It appears to be very accurate even in the sun as it has a fan inside. That keeps it cool enough to give an accurate temperature. It takes 30 days for it to learn your area and to give you a forecast but in the meantime, it’s pretty neat to be able to see the wind speed temperature and especially the feels like temperature good solid product. Happy with it.

I've had a few of these over the years but this one seems so far to be a winner!Easy to set up and install, good range from the outdoor unit to the indoor base, doesn't drop out signal. The data displayed is clear, precise and not complicated. Fun and interesting to use.Highly recommend.
