All working and connected and uploading to Weather Underground and Weathercloud.Issues Encountered and Solved was Connecting to the Internet (Below is the solution)The wifi is only located in the 7 Inch TFT display (if wifi option selected). The weatherstation transmits RF to the TFT display and will work without the internet. To connect the TFT to the net you must have 1.) a 2.4Gig wireless router and know its password 2.) a separate wireless device that connects to the TFT display. The steps are1. Enable "connect mode" on wireless on TFT display, the screen displays you are connected (this mode lasts about 5 minutes then goes back to normal display. When configuing the TFT screen must be left in the "connected" screen and must be restarted again until you get the other steps done otherwise it won't connect when the main screen is being displayed)2. I used a windows laptop and with it's wireless I connected to the TFT display; after connecting3. Open a web browser on that laptop and enter 192.168.1.1 (this will connect you to the TFT config display- again, you must have TFT in connect mode screen)4. A TFT config screen will open on your browser; You can now config: With a drop-down find your wireless router and select5. enter router password6. put in you weather underground id and pin (must have already gone online and setup free account to get id and pin.7. put in you weathercloud id and pin (must have already gone online and setup free account to get id and pin.8. Save this info. This alone will save to the TFT display and enable it to connect to your router, and stay connected and synced to the internet and then automatically upload your data to these websites.9. I did all this and it didn't work so I repeated all steps above and it finally worked and has continued to work very well.all this info is in the manual, but my android phone just couln't display the config screen on a web browser (don't know why), so I used a laptop and got it to display on that.5 stars based on price and overall result.

Bought this for my mother for Christmas 2024, we promptly installed it, it's now march and it's still working well. We live out in the country in North Dakota with very strong winds, so I was a little concerned about it holding up (most things don't). All though thus far I have been very impressed. Thers been so exceptionally strong winds come through that have blown all kinds of things over and around, but the weather station stood its ground against the myriads of winds. It was easy to set up too. I don't think the rain gauge works very well but its usually windy when it rains so very hard to say, might blowout. The display is nice and fairly simple to navigate. Was a pretty good value compared to the ones I can buy in town.

I am currently trying to resolve the problem via Vevor Customer Support so there is a possibility I will update this review...for now, here's what I've got... I had little trouble with the initial set-up and within a reasonably short time had the outdoor Sensor assembled and the whole system up and running with WiFi providing updates...everything was working perfectly. This system is at my hunting camp so I have no idea when it actually quit working. I returned to camp last week and discovered the Outdoor Sensor is no longer communicating with the base...OR...the base is no longer receiving. Either way, there is no Outdoor data being displayed that is provided by the Sensor. I went to the manual and repeated the set-up process and the "Re-Pairing Sensor" procedures to no avail...still not talking. I contacted Vevor Customer Support via email which has begun a slow process of canned answers followed by a days delay after I told them I had already done all they suggested...and then the next days email had me repeating myself. I'm unimpressed. My opinion may change if a rabbit soon appears from the hat...but I'm not holding my breath. For now I caution, Buyer Beware, there's good reason this product is getting 3.5 reviews.

The physical installation was pretty easy, then again I think that would be similar to all units of this kind. Hanging the base unit on the wall takes one screw, but as soon as you connect the wire, it tilts a little to one side. A mounting bracket would have been nice in this case. I found connecting to the network to be relatively easy as well although while it lets you connect to a 5G network, it won’t work with it. The instructions could be a little more clear in giving an overview of what’s necessary. But still, after a few tries, I got it connected to the internet. Pairing the sensor to the base is a breeze. The screen has a great resolution, but it is not a touch screen. There are buttons at the bottom that correspond to a function shown on the screen and you have to pay attention as a function can move to another button in the various menus. The menus are fairly self explanatory, but you have to get used to the sequence of which button to push. What is annoying is that there are various channels for the sensors that imply that you can connect more than one sensor. Maybe I’m wrong, since I couldn’t find other sensors online. If I could find another temp sensor, I could put it somewhere where I it would be nice to know what the temp is… such as the workshop or garage or other building, or possibly in the shade. I have no idea how to pair another sensor either. There’s also history in memory as long as the power stays on. But there are no internal batteries in the base unit, which is very annoying as there should be to maintain that history and be able to see the conditions ever though the power is out.I like the information it does give you and the clarity of the screen. I like the ease of the sensor installation as you don’t have to worry about how straight the post is (I’m sure that’s the case of most, if not all, of them). I just used my smart phone to get the compass direction. But beyond the basic functions, it lacks a few things and it can get complicated. The sensors is over 150 feet away and I have the full 5 bars.

It took a long time and several messages which I must say were all answered even when I was rude to them telling them their product was junk. Now I have had it for a while it is very good and does everything ity says it does and I think most of the problems are for the chinese trying to understand english ,but looking at youtube and other places I got it going great.I was really horrible to this company and they were never rude to me one .So I owe them big apology and would like to thank them

Ordered the VEVOR weather station from Amazon as the price was so good and my other weather station had lost three of its functions - they always seem to start losing channels after a few years service - I have not been without a weather station for over 23 years so I know the pitfalls. This new outside unit is built very well and the wind speed / wind direction ball bearing sets are well protected against water ingress lwhich often causes the bearing’s to rust so that’s a plus - the solar panel seems well made so it should stand up to being cooked in the summer and frozen during winter. The rain gauge has the usual problem that every unit has - Spider ingress. The female spider lays her eggs in the crevices and the little critters being so small when they hatch out crawl into any water holes used to get rid of the water from the inside of the rain gauge - it’s becomes then becomes a spider castle inside - and as they grow the webs stop the tipper that measures the rain quantity from moving so you end up with no rain measurement and with all units of any price it’s time to remove the top of the rain gauge and give it a clean to get out the spiders webs and make the bigger critters homeless.A necessary evil of every weather stations I ever had…Thus remember to ensure that when you mount your weather station outside you WILL need to service it to clean out spiders webs and change batteries (I strongly recommend using lithium batteries outside).Last tip - don’t install your unit on top of a chimney is not a viable option…Hope this helps others.Regards PeterOnly thing I can’t comment on yet is the transmission distance from the outside unit to the indoor display.Past experience has shown me that the manufacturers specifications on this matter can be very unsatisfactory - this unit transmits on 868MHz which may / may not be better as usually they are transmitting on a lower frequency. Fingers crossed but I must admit I’m impressed. - Thumbs up from me.UPDATE AFTER A FEW WEEKS WORKING…Have to say it’s great and never lost radio transmission / reception once which was my main concern.Display is good and clear. Radio sync clock is good but when the clocks change to BST I’m not too clear how to adjust it as the manual is not too clear. All gauges work well and for the money I would recommend this model to all - this must be my eighth weather system I’ve had over the past 40+ years and this one represents the best value for money I’ve had. Great deal.
